2. "Popular" members stuck at the top

   Grindr has separated the more "popular" members in all regions by putting them at the top of the cascade. Some members might object to this! Being more popular results in the members location being inaccurate when others are using the location search option. Members are not even aware they're "popular" because our profiles no longer appear in our own grid. Again, this is just another stupid feature, added in order to used member profiles as click bait to sell ads! ... Get rid of it!! So tired of the juvenile ad ons Grindr keeps coming out with; the scruff team is clearly the one to beat!

7. The adds are out of hand

   You people are trying to make the free version of this app so insufferable that you're destroying your product. I'm guessing you're trying to make people shell out money for one of your premium versions. I rarely noticed what these ads are even for because I'm so angry at being shown them. All I've done is open the app. I've not had a chance to so much is interact with it yet, and you're showing me an ad. So now I have to x out of four screens, each screen has to stay up for so long before I can close it, and that's just to get back to the app if I'm lucky. Why do I have to close four screens to get out of the ad? In what world does that seem reasonable? What web traffic could these advertisers possibly be getting from your ads, because if I ever manage to even notice what they're for I basically vowed to never give them my business because they make me so mad. I've been using this app off and on since 2010. I don't remember when you started showing pop-up ads, but I do know they have never made me want whatever they're selling. I usually don't even know, because the whole time all I'm doing is looking for the spot I have to touch to make it go away. Couldn't you just leave it at two screens, and leave them up for long enough that I can even tell what the hell they're for, and call it good enough? And what's with the tiny x that's pushed so far into the corner of the screen, you're not even sure the whole ex is showing. At least least half the time you can't seem to hit the exact spot because apparently anything that's not the little x is going to redirect you. So many times I'll see the notification, and just ignore it because I don't want to have to deal with an ad, because I know I'll have to view one before I can even read the message. A lot of the time, I just decide it's not worth bothering. You're getting way too greedy, and you're going to alienate the largest demographic of your entire user base. It's not like the freezers don't make you money, and if you alienate all of us, your premium users are not really going to feel like they have such a great experience either cuz it's going to be a lot fewer people using the app. Seriously guys get it together, because I think about deleting this app multiple times every day that I open it. You have a lot of other issues you need to work on too, but that's the one that pisses me off so much that it's going to lose me as a user at some point. The amount of ads is ridiculous, but primarily because of how hard they are to back out of. You have got to stop showing ads before the user has even done anything. At least go back to letting me actually view the profile, read the message, or message a profile first. Go back to showing me an ad after I try to back out of whatever I've already done, because at least then you've provided me with something functional ish before making me view an ad.

   I dont want to see men that are 30 miles away in the nearby blocks. We should show people that are in the area. It seems to be randomized now which makes it difficult for users and honestly feels like im wasting my time.

11. Merge reporting and blocking together

    while blocking is vital for safety, many, many, many use it to spread hate/avoid rejection/punish/silent treatment. Doing it so without a real danger/threat leads to resentment..creating and continuing the hazardous cycle of stalking/obsessing.
    So merging these two features could filter out the reasons to actually block someone, not just an impulse or bad interaction. We more than anybody would benefit from kindness to heal our long number of wounds that discrimination has done. One of them avoidant behavior, not opening up also.
    Instead of blocking can Grindr act in our behalf and give us an option to let down politely if there's not a match? like an expiration chat? or make blocking not that aggressive? like making the other person just see a blank profile that says offline? that could be much more easy to digest.
    Or to have suggestions to let down like:
    sorry I had another idea in mind, we right now are not a match but in the future maybe.
    Which in many cases happened, people change their minds and gave the chat a second chance.
    But with blocking specially in a small town is super awkward to look at each other again
    .. speaking about community...
    So when safe, let each other down easy please. We can do better.

17. Bring back distance based home page

    The homepage was based on location and the closer someone is, it’s closer to the top of the page, now there’s no option to chose to change it to shuffle or bring it back and profiles are just appearing shuffle by default, then distance doesn’t make any sense to have if you don’t know who is closer and that’s the base of the interaction… what’s the point then?

    Bonjour, pour le bien et le moral des gens ce serait bien de supprimer cette option et de nous laisser le choix de bloquer la personne qui recréer un compte chaque jours pour nous harceler
    Je suis quelqu’un de plutôt sexy et je me rends compte que je suis harceler par les même à chaque fois , dans mon quartier il y a beaucoup d’origine ethnique différentes que je respecte qui font qu’il reste discrète ces personnes me font tourner en rond sans cesse. Vous vous rendez pas compte de l’impact que ça peut entraîner. Sachant que avant déjà c’était compliqué de faire une rencontre et là vous la rendez impossible. Sans possibilité de dissocier, la personne qui revient sans cesse. On se retrouve à masquer un profil qui est aussi vite démasqué. Déjà que c’est une appli de consommation ou finalement le physique de la personne a plus d’importance que ce qu’elle a dans la tête, je pense que nous devrions avoir cette accès gratuit, sans compter qu’en plus vous, hésitez pas à montrer nos profils dans d’autres villes à des buts commerciales il serait temps de nous laisser choisir en fonction de l’âge que l’on a la possibilité de parler aux personnes et pas d’être harcelé par des cinquantenaire ou même des profils discrets,

    I really don't like the "For you" section thrown into the grid where it shows you other profiles that aren't any closer and the profiles often look fake. So what's the point? Why is it even thrown in the middle of my grid? It's pointless.
