Allow users to re-crop thumbnails for approved profile images more easily w/o having to delete & re-submit the img
The app needs a feature to allow users to easily adjust profile image thumbnails if we are not pleased with how we cropped the thumbnail when we submitted the photo initially. The UX should be as simple as this:
1. Tap THUMBNAIL PREVIEW to open the cropping tool.
2. Pinch/drag to adjust.
3. Save & return to Edit Photos screen.In current state, the user has to delete the picture and then go through the entire submission & approval process again. Then the user must re-order their photos after the pic is approved. This multi-step process wastes time for the…

Mandatory vaccination status info
I would like the search option for displaying ppl on my list based on their Covid & other vaccination status. I'm tired of asking each person what's their vaccination status. NOT each person who is vaxxed mentions on their profile bio whether they r vaxxed. Plz make this option on search to display only vaccinated ppl or if I choose to see only NON- vaxxed ppl. Thank You

Be able to change the theme colour of the app for a little more discrete messaging
Would be a great thing to be able to change the theme of the Apple from the blue and yellow bubbles just for some more discrete messaging when in public or NSFW places. This could be a unlimited feature and I think it would add real Value

The term “Side” used to describe a sexual preference
I'm requesting that Grindr removes the option of 'Side' as a sexual preference. The term 'Side' is used to describe individuals who choose not to engage in sexual intercourse. I believe that including this term is counterintuitive and contradictory to sexual behavior. Compared to the sexual roles of top, bottom, and versatile, the inclusion of a role that abstains from sexual activity could potentially pose a threat to homosexual activity. The term 'Side' may also be associated with asexual experimental behavior, where individuals consciously decide not to participate in practical sexual behavior. Reciprocal blocks
The current system of blocks is one way and open to abuse. When one user blocks another they are able to selectively unblock and then contact them, view them - and then block again. If someone blocks me, I want the option to block them back so they can't message me or see me.
Another issue with blocks is it's possible to reverse them by uninstalling and reinstalling the app.

App is buggy since update
App regularly does not load profile pictures, let me receive or send messages without closing the app and reopening it 5 times every time it happens, sometimes it takes 5 minutes and 3 ads to send one message.

Having how's pop-up every 20 seconds while I'm chatting with someone
My user experience has plummeted with the new ads pop up. It used to be maybe once every few minutes currently it's every 20 seconds or less. I typed in a sentence and it pops up and clears my sentence from what I was trying to say. This is absolutely ridiculous it derails my train of thought every single time and is extraordinarily frustrating

Restore Bigger Character Limit to Profile Text
Somewhere around 2016 and update to the app came out that reduced the number of characters users could have in their profiles. I remember distinctly not updating my profile because it would mean needing to trim quite a bit out.
Yeah that’s probably has to do with the way the string information is encoded in your database. But if you think about it, get more characters for a tweet than you do for the profile text.
