3. Drug misuse

   Dear Grindr Team,

I want to share my experience with your platform, both as a user and someone who has been in recovery from meth addiction for the past four months. Two years ago, I was introduced to meth through connections I made on Grindr. While I acknowledge that my addiction is not the fault of Grindr itself, the platform unintentionally enabled my use and subsequent addiction due to the ease with which drugs are promoted, sold, and accessed through bios and display names.

During one of my relapses, I had deleted all contact with drug dealers, but I was able to download Grindr again and access meth within 20 minutes. This highlights a concerning issue: Grindr can sometimes serve as an avenue for people struggling with substance abuse to connect with dealers, making recovery and sobriety even harder. For someone in recovery, this is incredibly triggering.

I believe Grindr could take a more active role in combating the promotion of drugs on the platform by monitoring and removing bios and display names that reference drug use or sales. This kind of intervention could go a long way in preventing harm. Additionally, I think it would be immensely helpful if Grindr provided users with resources or links to local support groups and services for drug and alcohol recovery. Even a small step like this could have a big impact on individuals who are struggling or seeking help.

Grindr is uniquely well-placed to provide targeted support for the community that uses its app. The platform has the potential to not only foster meaningful connections but also act as a resource for users navigating personal challenges like addiction and recovery. By taking these steps, Grindr could play a critical role in improving the well-being of its community.

Thank you for considering this feedback. I know Grindr has the potential to be a positive and safe space for connection, and I hope my experience sheds light on ways the platform can better support those navigating challenges like addiction and recovery.

I was wondering if this app has a contact-blocking feature. I’m concerned that some people in my phone contacts might also be using this app. I’d like to ensure that neither they nor I can view each other’s profiles.

15. Paid “Tap History” is low-quality and guarantees nobody sees taps. Why use them now?

Tonight I logged in to check my taps after I was out and about only to find they are now all blurred (even the latest one) as if they were as interesting to see as views. While I’d pay to see views, I’d never pay to see taps. They are very low quality and 90% of them are spammed from the same guys I don’t like and you couldn’t force me to like without it being rape. Today, sending taps are effectively sending messages into a void that the recipient will likely never see. It’s almost pointless now.

I would like to preface this with the fact that I subscribe to XTRA on occasion and unsubscribe when I encounter job instability or a shift in priorities from worrying about men- because sometimes it just does not matter. Historically speaking, I don’t subscribe to dating apps for more than a few months at a time, so aiming for 100% subscription retention rates is unrealistic

I get this is a persuasion to subscribe to XTRA, correct? Was it an extra feature or something that was free for several years? I would respect the cash grab if it meant putting in work making an extra feature that’s actually good, serves a common need and adds to the value of Grindr. However, “tap history” feels like selling me garbage. A slap in the face. The interactions were already low-quality in the first place. I send them as, “you probably won’t like me but I’m interested if you’re interested”, which feels as mutual and respectable as it gets.

Making this feature paid only decreases the likelihood I even send taps in the first place, because now THERE IS A 100% CHANCE users do not see taps I send, especially if the most recent tap is blurred and paywalled.

To the product managers of Grindr, you are basically killing off the “Tap” feature at this point, there is no reason to send them or even look at them because you just can’t.

TIP: If XTRA (or even Unlimited) came with more specific filters for my type and taste in men, there is a 100% chance I’d subscribe more often just to see more men that I’m more likely to be into. That would be incredibly helpful and I’d pay for such efficiency because it saves years of my life searching. But to kill off taps and put them behind a paywall is such a low for a product value proposition. Out of ideas to sell? Why has nobody thought about showing people on my grid I may have seen in public before I went home? Seriously, I’m not sure if the people trying to sell XTRA are thinking the right way here. I’m willing to give you guys money, but not for crap like “tap history”. Ugh.

17. Why Is My Geometry Dash Crashing? Here’s How to Fix It Fast

Geometry Dash Lite is one of the most addictive rhythm-based platformers ever made — but nothing kills the fun faster than when the game suddenly crashes. Whether you’re on PC, iOS, or Android, these crashes can happen for a variety of reasons. Don’t worry — here’s a quick guide to help you understand why Geometry Dash keeps crashing and how to fix it so you can get back to jumping, flying, and dashing like a pro.
    1. Outdated Game Version

Geometry Dash receives updates and bug fixes. If you’re using an old version, it may not work properly on newer devices or systems.
Fix: Check your app store or Steam to make sure you’re using the latest version of the game.

    1. Device Compatibility Issues

If your phone or PC is older, the game might not run smoothly or can crash when too many effects or custom levels load.
Fix: Close background apps, clear RAM, or lower the graphics quality in the game settings.

    1. Corrupted Save Data or Cache

Crashes sometimes occur when save files or local cache get corrupted — especially after an update.
Fix: Back up your data (if possible), then clear your Geometry Dash cache or reinstall the game.

18. Better Matching Algorithm for Meaningful Connections

    Hi Grindr Team,
I think it would be great if Incredibox app’s matching system focused more on compatibility and shared interests, not just proximity. Many users are looking for more than quick chats — they want genuine connections.

What if Grindr introduced a smart matching algorithm that learns from profile interests, chat patterns, and preferred interaction types? For example, users who like deeper conversations could be shown to others with similar behavior.

This could make the platform more authentic, engaging, and community-driven, while still keeping the fast, easy vibe Grindr is known for.

Would anyone else here like to see this kind of feature?
