Block is no longer available
The block option is no longer available and was replaced by the hide option. Blocking a user is an essential safety tool in Grindr that can protect us from violence and harassment. Disabling it put in risk the safety and privacy of Grindr users.

Idea for avoiding spam accounts
The mass of spam accounts with tapping on users profiles is really really annoying!!
Here is a concrete idea for avoiding this:
Delete the fields for Social media links, or at least delete it for free accounts.
No spammer will pay for an account - esp. bc he doesn't want to disclose his payment details.11 votes -
Favorites search/notes bar
The move on the favorite tab made things insanely difficult for everyone. Its impossible to search and find a specific favorite person now because the notes bar is gone. With the word/notes search bar that was in the favorites tab it was better and easier to find a favorite that you have. Please bring that back
This is a crucial fix. The favorites tab needs to be brought back but especially the search/notes bar. It was easier to find a specific favorite chat/person when there was a word you couple type in to locate them.

Get rid of the Boost and Right Now buttons from the grid
There's too much clutter on the grid search page. Ads aren't going away. But please move the Right Now and Boost buttons to a menu somewhere. Everytime I have activated these features has been on accident and never intentional.

Stop trying to force us to subscribe to Unlimited!
I’ve been an Xtra subscriber for almost 10 years and I feel offended by the features you’ve been taking away just to push us into Unlimited. Now the ability to talk to people in other locations is limited too? How come I can only talk to 5 people in Explore? And why does the age filter now require at least a 5-year gap between minimum and maximum age? We can’t even block anymore? And this new Favorites button is awful!

The favorites tab is trash, the albums tab is trash, we don't need who viewed me, honestly just revert every change in the past 5 years. Every single time I open this app it gets more unusable than the last time.

Grindr Sold Out
Grindr made a huge mistake by selling ads to this company that makes all these TS and “my big 10 in” profile taps. Have they done anything about it? No, because they are making money while the users that pay money are overall annoyed. But why fix it if no revenue is being lost? I’ve wrote support several times, no response…there’s no response because there is not a fix. Grindr is making bank by the rise in app interactions, normally to make their app look better before selling…mark my words…watch….

Tone down the ads
The ads are outrageous. I dislike mid typing for an Ad to pop up when trying to message someone back. The app has gotten worse over the last few years. Tone down the ads at least not pop up during your mid typing message.

Right Now Feature Button.
Hello I unfortunately have pressed the “Right Now” feature 3 different occasions unwillingly & I do like the feature but I think it should be removed from the Grindr grid when searching who is nearby. I have an iPhone SE so this screen is very small & I click things by accident a lot

Right now for Unlimited users
The right now tab is cool, but, as somene who already pays waaaay too much for Unlimited, I shouldn't have to pay even more to post there. Right now should be free to XTRA/unlimited users.

Bots/fakes
App is essentially useless because 90% of messages are from bots/fakes. The only remedy would be authenticating new users at set up. Till then I’m canceling my paid subscription and deleting my account.

This app is beyond greedy
The way you’ve gone about increasing price and ad length and volume as well as taken away what should be free features and monetized the absolute fuck out of everything - now I can’t even look at past taps w/out paying, like fr? Sniffies is 100x better than your premium bullshit membership and I’m talking their free version! Fuck this app - you’ve gone the wrong way and I’m done wasting all this time for the trash effort you’ve put out!

Fake accounts…Subscribe to my onlyfans
The biggest pain point I’ve had on Grindr is the constant flood of fake and bot accounts. A lot of them use the same bait phrases like “subscribe to my OnlyFans.” These profiles are misleading, contribute nothing to genuine connection on the app, and honestly make the platform feel cheapened.
My short-term solution is to report and block/ hide them, but that still means wasted time and energy that I shouldn’t have to spend. The real issue is that Grindr doesn’t have a strong enough system in place to filter and prevent these accounts from being created in the first…

block "For you" chats
I do not want Grindr to recommend chats, and I'm certainly not going to pay for the feature. In fact I would block most of the profiles that are listed (first two in list were crossdressers). If Grindr can keep all of its AI profiles in this area and off my grid then it's useful. Otherwise it's waste of space that I don't want to see.

Remove profile promoting OnlyFans
Recently I have experienced a large influx of profiles and messages that are promoting Onlyfans accounts. This is making it harder to use the app for its intended purpose, finding “meaningful connections” 😆
I also think that OF people are exploiting Grindr users, sometimes promising them S E X in exchange for subscribing, which is obviously not true. Sometimes they even put this on their profile.
