MANDATORY PHOTO ID VERIFICATION / BLUE MARK
I strongly believe Grindr should implement ID or passport verification during registration. Once the verification is successfully completed, the user should receive a visible blue verification checkmark on their profile.
This would have several benefits. It would significantly reduce fake, duplicate, scam, and impersonation accounts, while making it easier for users to know that they are interacting with a real, verified person. It would also create greater accountability and could help reduce harassment, catfishing, and abusive behaviour.

Reducing fake accounts and bots
Can you please attach a badge to a member’s profile indicating whether they are paid or free member or simply make it a pay only site? I believe this would reduce the number of fake account accounts and bots.

Fix the algorithm
Within the past year, it is fairly obvious that the algorithm, for at least free accounts, has been adjusted to display profiles that aren't "my type" as those I may initiate communication. There are numerous profiles that are my type directly beneath the Xtra cut-off and yet they NEVER bubble up top for my free account. I can only assume this was done to encourage me to pay for an Xtra account, a blatant cash grab.

Interesting gaming site with bonuses

What’s the point of Grindr Xtra besides draining the user out of their money. It’s so disrespectful. As a gay man I can’t even find a suitable partner without having to pay $30 a week that’s such a rip off I’m so disappointed. I might have to go to a competitor at this point

You need to figure out the bots
I am constantly bombarded (multiple times per login) with bots trying to get me to go to a website. Now, (again—multiple times per login) fake trans girl profiles will trap me. It’s maddening. They’re using the same bad photos and changing the name each time: ashley, kelly, etc.
Figure out your sh*t cuz your app isn’t cheap.

There is no option to voice record
