5. Stop app cloning! Stop mock location and implement unlimited blocks

   Disgrace of an app.

   Firstly. Lets talk about everything the app allows, and the complete disregard to users safety!

   All this fake location shenanigans! Firstly. Please don’t pretend you don’t allow it. You disallow it for freshly made profiles, then after a week you are good to go! And allow people to move their profiles at will.

   Secondly! You again “Allow” the use of sandboxing! Where users are making multiple clones of the Grindr app itself, that not only allows users to make an unlimited amount of profiles (clones) that can run simultaneously and at any location they choose, but you refuse, and i say this with great emphasis - REFUSE point blank to give users the ability to block unlimited profiles. Even though the app is riddled with fakes and people impersonating others.

   Why an app like Grindr in 2023 has a block limit is beyond me. You get thousands of complaints a day, about stalkers, fake profiles, and repeated “rules breakers” yet, you do nothing! We as a community should be able to block as many people as we see fit. This is a serious safety concern that Grindr simply does not care about. You have people committing suicide, and struggling so profoundly with their mental health because of all of these factors and you simply do not care.

   And lastly. Why you cannot implement a simple verification process like “Tinder” does. That allows users to verify their profiles with a blue tick, at the very least, Is quite frankly a disgrace.

   The app is riddled with fake profiles. Jumping from one location to the next. Making multiple accounts, impersonating others and causing no end of misery to normal users like myself, who just want to feel safe in an environment and free of stalkers. Yet here we are in 2023. The app in the worst possible state it has ever been. And still we have a ridiculous limit on how many profiles we can block.

   •Block mock location!
   •Block app clone pro!
   •Allow unlimited blocks!

   And for the love of god. ADD A VERIFICATION PROCESS!

   We deserve better!

   I could see screen recorder does not work while video calling in Gr. But we could still take the screenshots during vc.

    I use Grindr Extra and I use unread/read messages filter as a method of filtering potential dates, a bit like email inbox. Selecting multiple messages to mark as read or unread could be a value added feature. Also, when the message from a profile is opened and when you go back to the inbox, the profile is immediately removed in the inbox as it is now read. In theory this works well. But sometimes you want to re-check the message or profile again immediately, but it is already gone. Because I have pinned chats, re-reading a message requires to switch off the unread filter, quite a scroll to skip the pinned chats and then find the message. A useful feature would be swapping down to refresh unread/read messages in the inbox (like Hornet app) instead of automatic removal of read messages. That way, the user has the control.

20. Accept/Decline Photo Messages

    Have a "Don't allow photos to be sent" feature that prevents others from messaging photos without permission. That is, no one can send you any photo without the receiver first wanting to see photos from the sender. This would dramatically cut back on unsolicited nudes and I think would benefit the community greater. I personally really hate seeing nudes if I don't want to.
