2. Please stop removing gender filter

   I often use the gender filter to get female and trans hookups, it's very difficult to do so without the filter because most of them become xtra profiles blocked by the paywall. Please stop removing this feature because I will not use the app without it.

3. advertising

   I as other complainants on here , am annoyed by the always misplaced advertising , sometimes in the middle of typing a response to someone which is extra annoying .
   What else bothers me is that the ads seem to be targeting hetero interest groups ( eg I get job at BHP MINING - and ladies fashion or stupid hetero social apps )
   
   I would welcome that Grindr looks at other gay social apps ( romeo hornet jack’d scruff squirt etc ) how they handle their advertising , subtle , and I am sure they make enough profit from their chosen companies .
   So PLEASE change the way you place your advertising, less intrusive

6. There is no Chaser tag

   We are getting body shamed a lot on grindr, i always get my hopes up and then get blocked or ghosted when they realise im chubby even tho its on my profile. Im sick of not being able to know beforehand if im gonna get rejected for my body everytime i try to chat with someone.

   Chasers has been part of the gay community for a hell of a time, even before many others, yet they have their tags, and we dont. Make it fair, and make it safer for us with the chaser tag

7. Remove ads from unlimited

   Stop putting ads on the unlimited version. Im tires of getting ads disguised as messages. I play a lot for unlimited, the minimum you should do is dont give me ads.

8. views constantly appearing

   Since the new update, the UI is constantly showing me the most recent view in a pop up window and a constant reminder of how many recent views I have. If I click on my views, it should be an indicator that I'm aware I was viewed and stop bugging me every 5 seconds with a pop up that I was viewed. I read the view, I know I was viewed, I don't need the UI alerting me every 5 seconds. If this is a big, fix it quickly, it's worse than the previous views UI that always showed a red dot on it and when I clicked on it, it was the same view from 45 mins ago.

9. New viewers/taps page is awful

   Not only do you provide a page that shows the last three viewers of your profile that you can't interact with without paying ridiculous amounts of money, but now in the latest release you're making it front and center as opposed to taps? I get tap notifications all the time and when I click on them, now it takes me directly to the views page instead and then I have to tap again to get to the page to show who has tapped me?

   Whoever is in charge of product management at Grindr needs to take a serious pause and consider whether or not they're in the right role. You all are intentionally making this app less and less nice to use and it shocks me that anyone ever uses your app at all anymore. It's buggy as fuck, full of bots, constantly shoving ads down people's throats, and even after you pay for it, you're still requested to pay more for additional features that are bullshit. It's like you're actively developing an app with the intent to make people not want to use it.

11. No AI generated profiles for any purpose

    There are a sh*t-ton of obviously fake AI profiles that are always in my grid. Grindr is responsible, either directly or complicitly with a partner organization. Different patterns emerge and are obvious. Just one obvious example, trans women MTF, usually under 25, with a 3-word name (JuicyGemGoddess, PeepToePrincess), names are reused, pics are AI generated. If it exists for tranny profiles, it is being done for less obvious (i.e. more desirable demos).

    This is a blatant violation of TOS and guidelines. If I can observe this trend, then Grindr computers must be able to. THIS MEANS GRINDR IS AWARE, AND PROBABLY RESPONSIBLE, OR AT A MINIMUM, COMPLICIT. Is Grindr using AI to troll its own users?

    Looks like Grindr is probably using these to train its own LLM for deployment. It is fraud. It should require users positive agreement that Grindr is permitted to display AI profiles and has explicit permission to use interaction with such profiles for training or other any other purposes. Grindr users need to trust that they are interacting exclusively with humans. When Grindr or a surrogate breaks its own rules/TOS, it destroys that trust for all profiles. I pay for the service, not for risk of wasting time interacting with a fake AI profile, especially ones which Grindr is creating.

It is perplexing and frustrating that Grindr has not followed suit.

    Grindr should introduce a user verification feature that allows individuals to confirm their identities. This could be done through various means, such as:

    1.  Photo Verification: Similar to other platforms, users could upload a photo that matches specific poses or gestures to ensure authenticity.
    2.  Social Media Integration: Allow users to verify their profiles through linking to their verified social media accounts.
    3.  ID Verification: Optional but available for users who wish to further authenticate their profiles.
    

    Benefits:

    1.  Enhanced Safety: Users will feel more secure knowing they are interacting with real people, reducing the risk of scams and dangerous encounters.
    2.  Improved Mental Health: Authentic connections are crucial for the mental well-being of LGBTQ+ individuals. Verification can help reduce the anxiety and frustration caused by fake profiles.
    3.  User Choice: Verification should be optional. This respects the anonymity of those who prefer to remain discreet while providing an option for those seeking verified connections.

Implementing a verification feature is a necessary step in fulfilling this duty. 17. You should improve the quality app

    When I received taps and open the app they doesn’t show until a long period of time, as well I’m having trouble with sending messages sometimes, they just don’t got deliver until I close and open the app again, what it seems funny it’s that you guys charge a lot for premium service, you should consider accessibility for people, most likely because your app it’s often use to promote violence between the gays.

18. Bring back chat backup

    The old chat backup worked perfectly. This new message sync is making the app very unstable, erratic and unusable. On top of that none of the messages back up well. On the other party's messages are backed up or 'synced'. Whereas I as the sender lose all my messages. I also can't view albums or view once pictures.

    Listen. There’s a lot of DL in my area and I’m often not interested when they send a face pic in private.

    I hate blocking and some guys can’t handle the « not interested » text.

    Archiving messages would let met keep the pictures in chat for the futur and remove the 1001 blank profiles from my inbox.
