2. Showing the date of acount creation

   It will be very useful that every acount have a date of creation that will reduced the potential for harassment. Not only the gay community, but also harassers who are not and create accounts to publicly shame you or harass you in any way.

3. Certificate the profile

   There are many fake profiles. Please add a procedure where you can verify your profile. It's a really big problem when other people copy pictures from Instagram and Grinder and thus create new profiles again and again and write in my name.

4. HIV Status

   I personally think to limit the amount of guys that are getting put at risk by other guys who lie about their status, Grindr should make HIV statuses marked as verified in the same manner that the app’s algorithms check profile pictures to make sure they’re not inappropriate. If they’re negative or on prep the verification mark for their status could require reevaluations every 3-6 months so it accurate enough for users to make safer and smarter decisions with who they’re hooking up with. For those guys that don’t get tested often or choose not to upload their results from a clinic, they should be filtered out or even just have a status that shows not verified. As far as my area goes, there’s two dudes that I know of so far in particular that tell people that they’re clean and disease free while they’re both HIV Positive. They get away with it because their statuses are hidden and it seems that even though it’s illegal, a lot of people who are HIV Positive choose to not disclose this information when they are legally suppose to before they have sex with someone.

7. Boost

   This feature apparently just popped up on my app....I was looking for people nearby then all of a sudden they get rearranged and people who are 20 miles are at the top and people who are a mile are way farther down....this feature sucks...hate it with a passion...I initially thought my phone was messed up...needs to be gotten rid of...hate hate hate this feature

8. An increase of scammers

   I have recently noticed an increase in scam accounts messaging me. Most of them are for websites advertising adult content that you must sign up for by first giving the platform your credit/debit card information, others are trying to be a little more sophisticated by trying to get users to sing up for external "social media" platforms, such as a website known as "dreamguydatesandfun", found here: dreamguydatesandfun.com (Please do not sign up with real information as you will be scammed). I have done some research into the website and domain names, alongside similar reports such as this one from a news outlet in Ireland (https://www.siliconrepublic.com/enterprise/grindr-messaging-scam-ireland) which so happens to be the exact way they attempted to scam myself. These scams have someone message you and ask you to sign up for their safety in order to gain credit/debit card information before scamming you. 9. Read the bio

   I wish there was a way to make people scroll to the bottom of your profile past your bio before actually contacting you. I know even then it’s a 50/50 if they will actually read it or not, but at least it will be their fault for asking crap I’ve already answered on my bio. I have my social media and all that crap

   Its bad enough to have people I don’t know or never made any commitment to other than saying hello accusing me of “ghosting” them (no profile pic 🙄)

   But what makes the app very annoying is constantly getting asked if I’m really myself, send more pics, I don’t personally care ti stay FaceTime ready 24/7 nor am I looking to hookup 24/7 which my bio makes as clear as I know how.

   I’ve got it connected to my Facebook Instagram Twitter and freaking Spotify. I don’t know what else people want from me seriously but I think that would be a cool option.

   And video or gif profile pics 😎

   And maybe allowing more characters in the bio. That would be helpful if ppl ever read it.

11. Add option to require consent to receive images

    Have the option for users to block incoming image messages from people until the user has granted them permission. This will allow users to avoid seeing unsolicited NSFW images from users they have not given consent to.

12. Arbitrary ban

    I have never ever violated Grindr's community guidelines or terms of service. It was a shock when my account was banned two weeks ago.
    On appeal, I was told there was reason to believe I was underage (I am turning 37 next month). So, as requested, I emailed my face picture with my account details and national ID to Grindr.
    The response was to close my account altogether, and "for privacy and safety reasons, we cannot provide any more specifics about why your account was closed" and "this decision is final".
    What is going on, Grindr? How can you treat anybody in such an illogical, arbitrary and damning manner?
    This is extremely unjust and disappointing.

17. Pic approval needs human verification

    I've never once tried to post a naked ass pic but I've attempted to post a clothed ass pic and it gets denied everytime because of "the guidelines" but I see a lot of profiles with ass pics. The bot approval is either bias or just doesn't work.

    An update that let's you set certain things like distance, height and weight to different measurement units. In Canada, we use metric for distance but imperial for people. So Canadian users have to always convert values one way or another.
