HIV Status
I personally think to limit the amount of guys that are getting put at risk by other guys who lie about their status, Grindr should make HIV statuses marked as verified in the same manner that the app’s algorithms check profile pictures to make sure they’re not inappropriate. If they’re negative or on prep the verification mark for their status could require reevaluations every 3-6 months so it accurate enough for users to make safer and smarter decisions with who they’re hooking up with. For those guys that don’t get tested often or choose not to upload their results from a clinic, they should be filtered out or even just have a status that shows not verified. As far as my area goes, there’s two dudes that I know of so far in particular that tell people that they’re clean and disease free while they’re both HIV Positive. They get away with it because their statuses are hidden and it seems that even though it’s illegal, a lot of people who are HIV Positive choose to not disclose this information when they are legally suppose to before they have sex with someone.

Just make sure to ask your partner. It's that simple. If you need proof, then get proof before having sex. Stop being lazy and non confrontational. It's your health, it's your responsibility.

Please don't use the word "clean" in the context of sexual health. It is unclear and counterproductive. It's also really offensive. Instead take responsibility and protect yourself, don't expect others to do it for you. Get tested then get on PreP, U=U or rubber up. You're putting yourself at risk if you don't wise up.

Protect yourself?? Lol. None of any of those options you mentioned will make anyone safer or protect them from getting infected. How naive are you?? Forcing people to disclose status or expecting truthful reporting is just plain stupid. Wtf is wrong with you?

How do you know they are positive? That's the real question. Seems like you need to worry about yourself!

Number one thank God it's nobody's business and you can't force anybody to reveal medical information do you have any idea you open that book that'd be like opening the Pandora's Box or taking the as I said back in the free nuclear days we left the genie out of the bottle how about all the people that lie about having syphilis chlamydia gonorrhea the list goes on and on how about the simple fact you're lying to their wife or their girlfriend so they can play around with men let's get rid of the down low be a human being stand up quit hiding in the dark how about I how about 95% of the people on Grindr don't have a clue about anything about HIV they think it's the same as AIDS they don't know what undetectable is they don't know what a cheese cell count is most of them haven't even heard of the pill prep cuz remember is brilliant idea that was about HIV status just remember when you let the government force you to do something to one group of people they can go after each one one by one by one
