1. The activity indicator should be optional

   The feature indicating when you are currently active/how recently you’ve been active should be optional.

   I met with someone off of Grindr, and despite a very positive initial interaction, it became very clear that he was not respecting my boundaries. What followed was harassment, bordering on stalking, and it’s possible he was responsible for breaking two of my car windows and damaging a partner‘s car as recently as last week.

   While the majority of the harassment (dozens of phone calls, including removing caller ID after I blocked his number) happened over the phone. But, any time I logged onto the app I would within a few minutes receive a message from him, because he could see that I had come online . After blocking his profile, he has so far created two other profiles to do the same. I am reluctant to get on the app at all out of concern that he is watching to see me sign in, and opting out of the activity indicator would make me feel much safer.

6. This idea I have should of been made while this app existed!

   So I’m 19 and I get called on by so many guys who said I don’t look my age. Yes that’s a compliment that I look young. But it’s so annoying how they assume that I’m underage. So I like this idea I have and it’s about having a verified age account. IT’s optional but it’s better to know who’s actually their age in a pic. Cause I recently met this guy who did not trust that I’m actually 19 and wants to see my id so badly and saying that he’s been lied to about other guys who stumble upon him. I don’t like the fact he wants to see my id cause I don’t trust anyone but my family with my personal id. So I think Grindr should do something about that. Verified photos that there real and verified age that’s on there profile. Please do something about this cause I’m sick and tired of being played by fakes, personas, and age. Privacy is number 1 so this app should be trusted at all cost if they are willing to do something like that as I described.

10. Take out the heteros

    This app has become a straight bar, i have a femenine type of body and the heteros are making this an issue, i'm talking about the homofobic women in here who can't take not being in the spotlight (asalways) and homophobic men who cannot accept rejection. GRINDR IS NO LONGER A SAFE PLACE FOR QUEER MEN ANYMORE, the heteros are a big issue in our spaces and they're taking one of our few places for meeting new QUEER people.

    Dear Grindr Team,

    I am writing to thank you for your work in creating an application that has been very useful for me and many other users.

    I would like to suggest a new functionality that I think would be very useful for users of the application. I wish it was possible to filter by horoscope in the profile search/filters/my type section. The person who has indicated their date of birth in their profile regardless of whether or not they show their age in their profile. I think this would be beneficial for users looking for a compatible match based on their zodiac sign.

    If possible, I would like to see this functionality integrated into the app as soon as possible in future updates.
