Memory loss of taps
Right now on Grindr, taps just show up temporarily and then vanish, so you can’t see them later in your chat history. My idea is that taps shouldn’t send a new message, but they should still appear as an indicator inside the chat. That way, when you open a conversation with someone, you can see who sent a tap and when, giving you a clearer history of your interactions.

App not working the way it should,
I just canceled my subscription, every time I renew to see if anything has changed I experience the same problem and I’ve reached out to you at one point and let you know about it before, all the profiles that I have to choose from are always more than 50 miles away and as you scroll, they get further away, which leaves me with no way to choose any of the profiles available to me, so the app doesn’t do me any good unless someone sent me a message, I’ve reached out before about this problem and it doesn’t get…

Longer bio
I have been using Grindr for about 15 years now and have repeatedly requested that the “about me” or “bio” section needs to be much MUCH longer. Again, other apps like scruff have soooo many sections with a shit load of info you can input. I know full well that literally thousands of members have requested this multiple times. Also, STOP increasing the monthly subscription without updating the app and adding new features and especially without updating or advising the customer. Well it used to be the adds... but now I can only send 10 Photos a day???!! 😠
Aside from the adds popping up every time you change screens.. and having to hit the smallest freaking 'x' in the world (and my fingers ain't small) which inevitably loads another program or downloads an app I didn't want (that one really cracked my nut shells) but now you mean to tell me that I can AT MOST send out only 10 photos per day?!
This is a new low for trying to get people to pay for your platform and while is was bad enough that I only get to see the same three people each time anyway since…

Sometimes I click the pass profile by mistake (on the “for me list”).

Misleading ads and hiding the close button
The ads on the free version of the app have been ruining the user experience for a while and this should be of no surprise to anyone at Grindr. However, I’m now getting adds with deliberately misleading false notifications saying things like APPLE ACCOUNT LOCKED which are impossible to exit either because of the obscuring of the X out button or not including it in the first place. It is already annoying enough that the ads are totally inappropriate for the rather captive audience but now the site feels like a badly designed porn-tube streaming site full of nonsense pop…

When you delete conversations they go to a trash folder for 30 days so if one was deleted by accident it can be recovered

Profile creation date
Please add a new update to your app that will allow us to see when users created their accounts. I'm sure this will protect other people from dangerous individuals using fake profiles.

The amount of intrusive ads, autoplay videos it’s very abusive and gross business practices, UNETHICAL
The amount of intrusive ads, autoplay videos, and forced subscription pressure has become unacceptable, it’s very abusive.
This no longer feels like a usable free app, it feels intentionally broken to push people into paying. That’s not ethical design, it’s coercion. It’s obviously being done so people give pay but subscription prices are wildly inflated for what you get and doesn’t even remove all ads.
If this continues, I will stop using Grindr altogether. Many users already feel the same way.

Not delivering messages if not paying
Today I started paying for unlimited Grindr and straight away started receiving replies from guys I messaged several months ago who’d never replied at the time, even though I had been a regular paying member. Which I find a bit suspicious.
