1. Bug fixes

   Recently I've noticed a few bugs in the app, like profiles showing as 'Offline' when they where recently online and wrong profile pictures loading onto profiles without pictures

2. Rate Users Authenticy (keeping it positive)

   I know i posted in this category before BUT i think this sort of system could work and would be harder to abuse and maybe even generate more of a community feel.

   If the app detects you and someone within 1m and you spend a few minutes together once you've been away from them for more than 20 minutes you get a pop up saying

   Looks like you may have met Rian today?

   People may have a blank user rating which is a way fake accounts would be flagged to the public without any negativity

   Because the app has to detect you actually met it will make faking the ratings harder too. Give people the option not to rate at all or just leave the boxes blank

   You can only rate anyone once and you can change your rating every 3 months

   If the app detects you spend long periods with someone it can ask both users - are you friends, do you know them, do you work together, live together, dating, married?

   The Lions and questions are just arbitrary really. The number of user ratings should only be visible to yourself.

   And that’s it. No negative stuff. Anything really bad you can report to grindr themselves anyways

3. It crashes regularly and your organisation. Just pretends it’s not happening.

   How about some system whereby I could arrange a regular monthly payment to you in return for which you supply me with a working app that doesn’t crash losing all me conversations at least once a week!

   You could pair this with a customer service desk that actually tells you what’s a going on and a complaints team that actually listen. You will not be the only game in town for ever, at present the minute a credible competitor presents, you customer base will desert you in miliseconds because you’ve treated us all like mugs for last year.

4. Is it a change in the app or a bug? I loosing messages automatically once i read them once or twice

   Everytime I read a message from someone I am automatically loosing the message without doing anything to delete after reading and it has nothing to do with blocking...It is happening since last week...is it a bug or a change in the app? I hope this is not a change to limit our access to our messages.

6. Geographical constraints in search

   I live in an area of a border to another country. There is a long canal separating to major cities and countries, and very often I see people very close < 2km, but on the other side of the canal. That would require me traveling 10km south to the bridge, crossing an international border and driving up again 10km to meet the person. While gps shows that we are close in a radius, often borders, rivers and other geographical landscapes make way far than possible to meet, making it impossible due to lack of transportation. Being able to constraints a search in a country or city or even an area would be great for cases where we want to meet people within reach, and not to have to swim the nordic sea, a river, cross a border, or climb a mountain to get to a hook up.

7. Make it better?

   You just removed a feature that allowed you to block people from the “viewed me” page.
   You should be making it easier to block and avoid people. I’m not sure if you’re aware but there are a hell of a lot of creeps and horrible people on your app. You would be shocked by the abuse harassment and assult I’ve endured on your platform. You should be making it easier to avoid those situations not harder.
   Here’s an idea, when I set the age limit to who I see on the grid only shows me to those people aswell.
   ie, if I set my age limit to 24-31 then creepy old me don’t get shown my profile.
   The photos only feature should also be allowed for this purpose at being constantly bombarded with faceless, blank profiles feels extremely creepy and makes me uncomfortable, very much like knowing there are people watching you getting dressed but there’s nothing you’re allowed to do to stop them.
   I hope you realise the negative effects people on your platform have on others.

10. I would like to know the total number of views I’ve gotten per user instead of only showing recent.

    I would like a count of how many times someone has viewed me It would also be nice to be able to verify users so that profiles can be easily recognized as real

11. Ask to allow screenshots

    Grindr shouldn't let people screenshot the pictures you send them right of the bat. If the reciever tries to screenshot, the sender should be notified and asked if he wants to allow this person to do so throughout the conversation or if he wants not to allow him. There should also be a button to reverse this decision.

13. admin censorship

    I did not know until recently that the admins of these particular websites like Growler or grinder 10 be local to the area and local to the actual members that are online this could come against a member if it was that the admin knew who they were and was actually some type of stalker or use this information they could see into the accounts and what the person was username or who they were maybe talking with as well as close out there account as soon as they start it

14. my type message filter

    it would be nice to separate messages by your type, if a guy is my type I'd rather have his messages prioritized over people who I know I wouldn't click with, so why not have a my type filter or tab that only shows messages from people who meet my criteria?

15. Remove the "message sent" pop up and add the swipe to leave feature back

    Since the arrival of the direct message feature, it is no longer possible to swipe right to go back to the profiles, it just moves to the previous ones, and the cross on the top left corner is nor accessible for a couple of seconds because of the "message sent" pop up that is sooooooo annoying and not UX friendly at all...

16. Boost within your filtered preferences

    I love boost and I love how many messages I receive every time I activate boost. But some of the messages are from guys who are actually not my type.

    What if I could boost based on my filtered preferences (I pay Grindr Xtra)? Then my profile would be on top of the grid of the guys who are my type only.

18. Scorts section or filter

    Theres a lot of " masseurs", "scorts","therapists" "relaxing therapy" "available" "exclusive" etc, is so annoying to keep reporting them, and theyre still creating new accounts.
    That option would work for us avoiding them, and for them promoting their services.

20. Share states in Grinder

    It would be nice if you included a "states" option. In this way, one will be able to see what others share about their daily lives and learn a little better about their tastes and habits. Suddenly, that encourages them to read the profiles.
