Abnormally large amount of advertising messages and their aggressiveness.
Abnormally large amount of advertising messages and their aggressiveness. The Grindr application cannot be used normally because of this. You can avoid this by paying a membership fee, but the prices are too high. It has to stop.

This can be a safe space if...
This app is being used by people to commit crimes, harass, and bully others online. It would be great if we could report profiles that do this, even if they've blocked us. I often get hate messages, and the sender blocks me as soon as they see I've read them, before I can even respond. Being able to report and remove or even block their MAC address or these accounts would make the app safer.

Remove the picknick commercial
In the commercial of picknick (showing a lot in the netherlands) there are kids in the video. Should not be on a gay dating app

Stop the Discrimination Against Black Bodies
On Grindr, I often come across profiles of white men who are nude or visibly showing their bulge. However, I’ve noticed that whenever I try to upload a photo to my own profile, it takes significantly longer to be approved—and in some cases, even fully clothed photos of me are flagged as inappropriate.
This raises serious concerns: Is this happening because I’m Black, or because my body doesn’t align with the app’s narrow standards of what is deemed acceptable? (For context, I am not morbidly obese.)

What is uc?
I assume that uc stands for uncut. But why is it abbreviated?

Grindr facilitates discrimination of plus size men.
It’s no secret that plus-size men on Grindr have faced serious harassment, neglect, and verbal abuse. This kind of treatment can severely damage a person’s self-esteem and, in some cases, has even contributed to suicide—particularly among young men seeking a safe and affirming space.
As the leading gay dating app, Grindr has a responsibility to make it easier for users to connect with people who appreciate and are attracted to their body type. A simple solution would be to add a filter that allows users to indicate the body types they’re interested in—similar to a feature available on Jack’d. This…

Removing Racial Filters on Grindr is Implicitly Discriminatory
I’m a Black man living in a predominantly white area, where most men on dating apps seem to exclusively prefer white partners. As a result, when I list my ethnicity on Grindr, I receive very few—if any—messages. This creates an environment where Black profiles are consistently overlooked and ignored.
Even though there may be other Black users in the area, the app’s geo-based system makes it unlikely that our profiles will ever cross paths. And while upgrading to premium is an option, the cost is extremely high, and I would still have to spend hours scrolling to find someone I…

Get rid of the ‘for you’ feature
This feature is a literal cockblock paywall feature. It shallow attempt to get people to subscribe to the premium version of the app by heavily restricting the people that are in your radius and nearby. It is disappointing and condescending that they think we still believe they care for this community. But of course Grindr has just become another crummy and bordering scammy app that continually makes the experience worse and worse as the years go one

Subject: Account Banned – Request for Review
Hello Grindr Support Team,
I hope you're doing well.
My account was recently banned, and I received a message saying that I violated the Community Guidelines or Terms of Service. However, I’m not aware of what specific action caused this ban, and I believe it might be a misunderstanding or a mistake.
I kindly ask you to review my case and provide me with more details about the violation. If I unintentionally broke any rules, I’m willing to correct my behavior and follow the guidelines strictly.
Here is my error code for reference:…

Keep Basic Tap Functionality Accessible
With the recent update, the visibility of Taps in the free version has been significantly reduced. In practice, this means that Taps often disappear before I even have a chance to see them — whether I’m at work, asleep, or simply unavailable for a short time.
A feature that was previously free and functional has now been made nearly unusable unless one pays a considerable fee. I find this disappointing and user-unfriendly. I strongly urge you to consider making Taps visible for a more reasonable timeframe (e.g. 24 hours), so users have a fair opportunity to respond.

Serious security flaw
There is a serious TOS violation problem with the new "For You" feature. This is the second time I've seen this.
The profiles on "For You" have no way to report drugs or other TOS violations. So, they can violate your TOS with abandon.2 votes -

So confused as to what’s happening with grindr right now. Not only am I seeing people that are 20+ miles away but when I go to view my taps (Which have been available to view and click on for years) now cost money? There’s no way to block people, just “hide” them but later when you go back on they’re just magically there? The free version of the app is a joke now with all the pop up ads and the fake profiles getting pics from google or other people giving you only a couple people to talk to (again…

Taps
Now you're charging even to watch taps. Suddenly, the entire app is going to become a paid app. What good is all that money if you never manage to completely fix Grindr? First, it's a hub for abuse; you indirectly promote hate, violence, and abuse. What do you want the money for? To continue funding your addictive and destructive business? I'll definitely stop using Grindr, not because I want it to change, but because it seems like you're funding hate.
