Masc or fem
I think there should be an option to put in our profile if we are masculine or feminine. I think it would really help us find a guy that is more our type.

I love grinder it is a lgbtq friendly app anybody can find whatever gender they want sometimes I want to hook up with another man sometimes I want to hook up with a transgender female to male sometimes I want to hook up with a transgender male to female and you can find all of that on Grindr LOVE IT

I'm a transgender and I don't have no trouble finding guys or another other transgender to hook up with on grinder it's a very good lgbtq app That's what grinder is an lgbtq friendly app so get over it

Being able to switch between hosting and not hosting and not having a travel mode
It seems to take too long for the profile to show a log off (or the green light) after a member has already logged off so I'm tapping or sending a message to a member that's already has logged off

Sort shared albums by most recently shared
Albums shared with me used to be sorted with the most recent (the ones I can access) at the top instead of randomly with the rest.

The app is glitching
Mesages are saying delivered even tho they arent, its not possible to search and chats are dissapearing. In generally th screen is glitching a lot

Updates of the app
The latest updates has made Grinder work really bad ! Every time I log in I see a message, and realise it’s just the previous conversation ?

being blocked for no reason
I hate when guys block me after they agree to meet or go on a date. They seem so excited to meet up, and then once it’s time to go, they block me. Why be on a GAY app if you don’t wanna meet gay people?

WTF?? NO HD QUALITY PHOTO UPLOADS??
Why the hell can’t I upload actual decent quality photos to the app? The resolution is so degraded once you upload high res pics. Shame for a $400/year app.

Auto refresh
Please get rid of the auto refresh, or add an auto refresh customization tab w/in settings. Allow to toggle "manual/auto" within settings.

Prevent screen shot of profile pics
I have had my profile pics screenshot and used to set up fake profiles using my identity multiple times. This can be quite distressing. It would help if by default profile pictures could not be screenshot/stolen.

Hide (not block) profiles
It would be nice to be able to HIDE a profile from the grid. There are some people that I don’t want to block, but just don’t need to see in the grid for whatever reason (friends, we’ve talked/hooked up before, they’re my hot neighbor, they’re a FWB and we’re not currently fucking, etc). The feature doesn’t need to be fancy, just “hide without preventing messaging”

“Femme” & “Androgynous” Tribe Options Needed!
With a SIGNIFICANT amount of “straight” or bisexual men on the app looking for Trans women or “Femmes”. There isn’t a tribe to describe the grey area of a feminine, androgynous person in between a “Twink” and a “Trans Woman” because I’m niether.
The Grindr tribe titles are TOO catered to masculine personality types(which is good for them)however having just 2 tribes for a feminine looking person person to choose is pretty lame in 2023.
A good MAJORITY of masculine men who use Grindr to look for trans women and twinks…also state in their profiles that they’re also looking for…

Stop ads that automatically open in a new browser tab.
Over the last few weeks, I've been receiving these ads that would open a browser window automatically. I don't tap on them, they just do this on their own.
This is annoying because it interferes with texting. I could be in the middle of writing someone a message, then my Firefox Focus app randomly pops up and takes me out of the Grindr app. I have to close it and navigate back to Grindr to continue with what I was writing. And this isn't rare -- I've seen it happen up to three times within a minute. It's obnoxious and…
