Allow for customizable sounds
Allow for customizable, personal notification tones for chat, taps, etc. The Grindr tone is too well known and using custom tones would increase privacy & security.

Why don’t we add expiring stories 24 hours so we know more about the people and their activities, we add like option and reply option so it would be easier for people to coordinate

More social links are needed. Some people have multiple Twitters, or a Linktree… custom URLs would also be nice for those that want to plug their OnlyFans or personal website. Also: TikTok? Snapchat? YouTube?

Block button uselessness
Fucking you have an option just like Instagram to block any accounts that they may make in the future because this shit is ridiculous and very unsafe and I don't feel like it's legal or something that you can keep but pushing in front of the road for long so fix the fucking shit it's so stupid that I have to literally keep blocking the same fucking people cuz you're dumbass didn't know how to put it in the app Instagram does it so why can't y'all

Having videos on profiles
Much easier to get a sense of if you're attracted to someone from a short introductory video than just pictures/written bio

Stop constant location pings
Grindr is constantly pinging your location. Leaving to a lot of “driving” profiles and the app generally being sluggish, while eating battery life which takes away from a lengthy conversation. I’m proposing that the app only ping your location when the app starts, or when the user refreshes.

What happened to viewing taps?
What happened to viewing who tapped me? They’re all blurry and it says i gotta go on an get unlimited. What the actual fuck? I already pay for xtra and this was working yesterday. Thats how 80% of my chats start and now i don’t even get that. Do you know what it like being a brown man in this queer world? Coz you never know which fucker will blurt out racist shit at you when you initiate a chat. Bring it back

Take out the heteros
This app has become a straight bar, i have a femenine type of body and the heteros are making this an issue, i'm talking about the homofobic women in here who can't take not being in the spotlight (asalways) and homophobic men who cannot accept rejection. GRINDR IS NO LONGER A SAFE PLACE FOR QUEER MEN ANYMORE, the heteros are a big issue in our spaces and they're taking one of our few places for meeting new QUEER people.

Require a profile name
I don’t understand why a name isn’t required. If I get one more “Someone sent you a message” I might scream. Imagine trying to remember who you were talking to when there are multiple profiles with no name AND no picture…

Add a field in the Expectations profile settings to specify which tribes you’re interested in
This would basically be the same as the current Tribes field but it’ll indicate what tribes you’re looking for.
