Mock location
but why did you prohibit the fictitious positions? what does privacy have to do with mock locations? I live in a big city and thanks to mock locations I met my ex boyfriends who otherwise I would never have chatted with since they didn't show up nearby. this is no longer a dating app but only to steal money. your subscription is ridiculously expensive! Do you understand that everyone is complaining?

Add Un-Tap Feature
If you accidentally tap someone you should be able to tap it again to un-tap them as if it never happened

Group/Event meetup
If someone wants to plan a lgbtq event, or plan a group session there should be a way to spread the word amongst the community. Kind of like events in FB or something and you can display the event in your profile or post it in some new message board

location/distance with message
If someone messages you, be able to see distance even if they have location setting off, but perhaps system will not allow over-ride of settings. I think some people are not even aware that location setting us off.
Also, as one person suggested, show direction of distance, whether short or long.90 votes -
Grindr an app for Gay Men please.
Please either enable a filter to remove women and transgender people from the grid or just create a space for them. Can we gay men have something just for ourselves please? Is that too hard? Or we as gay men are obliged to give up our few safe spaces in order to be politically correct and be aligned with social justice?
Grindr is barely usable as it is right now with excessive ads, it’s fucking expensive and it’s also ridden with non gay men. This app is dying.

Gender Filter
I get that Grindr wants to be inclusive and what not but alright it’s easy to ween out the females but there’s LITERALLY heterosexual males on the app blantly being rude and disrespectful about not being interested in men and only wants Trans/mtf/crossdressers on their profile. Cool you guys added gender filters to “help” us find the people we’re interested in but the way the filter is set up is a one way deadend change. If someone is banned, tell them why
Tell someone why they are banned. The whole process is in reverse. The expectation is for me to read the grindr Bible without knowing what I’m looking for. Offenses are subjective. The whole process is a mess. Drug dealers and pedos inundate the app….I’m just trying to have fun. While having paid the annual subscription. .

Add filter to filter out transgender
Add a filter to restore the option for gay men to use Grindr. Trans need either thier own app or Grindr shoulr alow men seeking men, which was the basis for Grindr, to filter our trans profiles. Trans people profiles would still show for those that are interested in Trans.

Spam is out of control
I'm getting about five or six spam taps and/or messages every day. The developers need to do a much better job of restricting these profiles. For example: if a new profile send a bunch of taps in a very short time; if a profile jumps location too quickly (i.e. location spoofing); if they have "visit my socials" in their bio, or is just a straight up "go to my website" message, etc.
There is plenty that grindr COULD be doing to stop this.

Allow nude profile pics with paid subscription
The free app has to be G rated, but when you pay a monthly fee it should be M rated w/nude profile pics. BC in reality this is a GAY HOOKUP SEX SITE! Everyone usually shares the same X pics anyway

Grifters
Too many fake accounts are allowed to send messages from hundreds of miles away.
Allow a setting for no messages from X number of miles, or automatically flag accounts that send out 30 messages in 30 minutes, or flag accounts that get three blocks on the day they are created.

Locked Photos Folder
Add an option for a folder with private photos that we can share with other profiles we choose with the ability to also unshare. It gets tiring sending multiple photos to every other person you talk to.

Fake profiles
Grindr is flooded with fake profiles. I see dozens per day. There's a plethora of fake trans profiles that try to lure you to Telegram. Many OF 'creators', but I suspect also fake profiles put there by grindr itself to give the impression there are more people online. Put in more safety guards to prevent bot profiles so I don't get approached repeatedly by fake accounts. Stop unwanted spam messages from transgender and only fans members
I would like to have a feature that can stop all messages from people over a specific distance from my current location. This would certainly help to limit the spam from transgender and only fans members that only message me for the purposes of subscribing to their page or advertise their services and content. Explain the block
Using the same system that most players use, the report, explain why the block was applied is not only more clear as well as doubtless for the one that was blocked.
Ex:
- block - inconvenient
- block - bulliyng
- block - not interesting
- block - annoyingIn addition, sending a message to the one that was blocked instead of just disapearing, is something that should be in the app

Allow users to block profiles using certain phrases that they find offensive.
Allow users to block profiles that use words or phrases that they find offensive, such as racist, ageist, transphobic, etc. a user can ID an offensive word or phrase and block and profile that uses them. Profiles are unlocked when the words/phrases are deleted.
