Map based for cruising, finding guys nearby and hot spots for hooking up
The app is ok in letting you know the distance of guys in your area but I think it would be a lot better if you added a map feature where you can see exactly how far or have an idea of what area you might be heading too. Of course you don’t have to pin point the exact location of users, with just showing up on the map within a few feet of the location a user is currently at would be nice. Also add the option of selecting a user role such as crossdresser would be good too…

AGE DISCRIMINATION
This app continues to champion the cause of equality - unless you are a “Nasty old” person 🤮- this kind of commentary should be stopped. Would you allow someone to say the same comments about race, gender, ethnicity? No. If someone has a hard and fast rule about age they can post that without the need to insult others. I have personally been told I should kill myself because of my age. MULTIPLE TIMES. Hate speach should have no place here but there’s a blind eye turned.

Prevent screenshotting
I put my pics in an album for a reason. People are screenshotting my private pics by liking the photo, which shows up in the chat log then being able to open up the pic and screenshotting it. Fix this shit Grindr, it's not good enough.

Having to weed out the scammers/impersonators. Have Verified Identity tags on profiles and video chat capability.
As a PAYING member of this type of social app, it's my strongly held belief that it is that corporation's DUTY to ensure that the person I'm having a typed convo with, is VERIFIABLY the same person portrayed in the profile. You can do that proactively by providing an avenue for verifying identity like many other sites do, using 3rd party ID verification providers. Secondly, this and other sites aggressively warn users not to leave the app or site to talk because "that's a warning sign of scammers." Longer 'about info' length for bio when paying
Limited amount of bio info is too short when paying subscription. Should be able to add more about ourselves and what we are looking for.

I think this used to be possible but I have lost sight of this setting, for the 'enter' / new line key in the keyboard to be used for sending messages in chats

Fix the filters for straight trans women
The new gender filter is... well I see what you were trying to do with it. However, it screwed over straight trans women even more than before.
How am I supposed to browse straight/bi men who are into people like me? All I can do is say I’m looking for “men” but of course it’s a gay app so the vast majority aren’t here for trans women.

Adding notes to blocked profiles
Allowing the adding of notes to blocked profiles would provide feelings of safety and comfort on the app, as one wouldn't then unblock someone they don't want to interact with again for wherever personal reason.

banning people
It’s wrong that a lot of my friends and I have noticed you don’t actually investigate when people we may not even interact with even can just make a profile up and complain about someone falsely and have them banned without Grindr staff even investigating the claim. We have folllwed all rules and regulations but in this world people may feel rejected for simply then not being your type and are vindictive people who are insecure taking it to that extreme knowing you will ban them for good. Stop with the absolutely invasive ads or provide free memberships, The ads that you people have on this app are far past the point of okay
As I'm sitting here attempting to type out a message to a person, I got interrupted three times by three separate ads each one if you even look at it wrong will take you to a completely other page a whole other website. What you're doing is literally driving traffic away from your app and choose something else. Why just so you can make more money? CHANGE FORMAT
ABSOLUTELY HATEEE THIS FORMAT!!! Why ya always trying to fix things that are not a issue? Focus on the things people actually dont like about this app and work on that! This new format sucks! It’s harder to find guys and be found yourself. Profile views don’t get to the hundreds like it use to before which means my page isn’t getting pushed out. Also hate that you have to pay to see majority of the guys on here. It defeats the whole purpose of the app

Block the user
This is not idea but rather complaint. A user just asked my no. Ani when i refused he told me he will defame me. Report my id and reveal personal info. And then he blocked me. Now i dont have access to his id, how can i even report the account. And if in case if he misuses my info. Who will be responsible. No feature to report such accounts.

Small penis
The “hung” tag is great but without “small” Grindr is feeding a toxic masculinity mindset that hung is to be admired but small penises are not worthy. This is damaging self esteem in a lot of men and reinforcing anxiety for most men. Normalising small penises (or even average) would really help our community’s collective mental health. Most men are around 5 inches, let’s remember.
