1. Require profile picture

   75% of the app is closeted profiles its absurd. People should be inactive till they upload a profile picture. I don't feel safe or proud of a community that's a sea of endless black screens who speak in vague and shady ways. Or make new profiles to harass people after being blocked and you don't know who you've spoken to before because everyone has the same looking profile. Do better.

2. The grid reloads too often

   The app reloads the guy grid way too frequently. I can't look at more than one guy before it resets and I lose my place. Also, it automatically reloads while I'm scrolling so I can't go more than 50 guys or so. Why am I paying for Xtra if I can't even scroll to see the additional lines? It's become very frustrating and I can barely use the app to meet new people. If the issue isn't resolved soon, I will certainly cancel my subscription.

   Can you please help me understand why I am paying $39.99 per month for an app that has such a limited search filtering? For example, why can’t I just search for certain pronouns? Why can’t I search for certain genders? Why do I have to rely on you to add a specific identifier that I’d like to associate for myself? Why can’t I do a keyword search for the text that people put in their profiles? Why can’t the text of my profile be longer? These are basic items that should be in the Grindr app given its age so I can’t understand why I would continue paying for an app that is missing these basic features. Please help me understand why I have to look at profiles that I don’t want to see and why my block list has to be longer than Grindr’s bug list in order to not see those profiles. Your help desk gave me a canned response, because they know the limitations of this software, and don’t want to mess with a real solution. They did not even try to give me answers to the questions about because they knew it was not possible. If you were going to charge half of a gas tank of gas per month, I think we should get what we want. Have you read the comments in people’s profiles saying how they do not like this app?

   I spend a lot of time scrolling to the bottom profiles every a few seconds the app refreshes itself and takes me back to the top. It's been like this last a few years.

5. Evaluate account before falsely banning

   I think it's ridiculously that just cause I don't respond to someone or tell someone no they can report my account and get me falsely banned, it's bullshit that Grindr doesn't evaluate the account first and then ban if necessary.

   Urgently post information to users helping people spot the early symptoms and rash characteristic monkeypox.     Here are some arguments for reinstalling the ethnicity filter:

Avoiding Unintentional Harm: When the filter is removed, users who prefer specific ethnicities might resort to behaviors that can cause harm, such as blocking or excluding others after interactions. This can lead to rejection or awkwardness that could have been avoided with the filter in place. Providing a filter allows for more transparency and avoids negative social interactions later in the process.

    4. Cultural Compatibility: For many people, ethnicity is closely linked with cultural, religious, and familial values. Allowing users to filter based on ethnicity supports cultural compatibility, which can be a key factor in building lasting relationships. It’s not always about racial bias but shared backgrounds and traditions.

    5. Promoting Inclusivity and Diversity: While the removal of the filter may have been intended to avoid exclusion, it might ironically decrease the likelihood of diverse relationships forming. When users can filter according to their preferences, including ethnicity, they are likely to engage more genuinely with people they are interested in. 20. Reward accurate SPAM reporting.

    Reward your users that accurately report spam. I report a lot, but I think if users that helped you weed out spam with upgraded accounts. No actual cost to you, and you'd have an army of users who you could trust to accurately report spam accounts.
