1. No show, ghosting, time wasters

   Please do something to help cut down on people who make a plan and don’t show up, don’t say anything and stop replying. When someone commits, they tie up your time, you stop looking, you get ready to host a guest, or you travel only to a fake address (very dangerous) or they just don’t answer on arrival. The only way to stop this in community is by the community calling it out. Even had a person I met 2x before tell me he was alone, invited me, and walked 7 blocks over only to watch him open his door to another dude, looked at me and basically shrugged and shut the door. Then said later he didn’t know who it was, he had just been referred by another fb. Why didn’t he tell him he was expecting me any minute? This and too many other similar happens all the time, probably due to drugs, sex addiction, whatever, but it’s getting worse. It’s just MEAN now.

2. Do not reset the filters

   Is it possible that each time I open the app the filters stay as I set them? I am TIRED get back to the default settings and see profile I obviously have no intention to see because I have SET FILTERS.

   Each update is really worse than the previous one and there is one once a week, it's like you collectively brainstorm about how to make this app more and and more unfriendly to use.

   I've been on grindr for 12 years. I have always wanted a way to block and report without clicking on the profile. (Tap and hold. A list appears. With block and report as options)

   So you never have to be on someone's recent views at all... you can discreetly block without anyone ever seing you visited there profile even for 30 seconds..

8. BUG: Doesn’t conceal profiles that block you from right now

   Hi, I’ve noticed from two interactions now that if you are blocked by a person using a right now session, you can still see their profile even as chats, taps and views are erased, in the right now menu, from their you can read chats and their profile despite being blocked.

10. Hide/Block Shortcut

    Can we add the hide/block feature as a shortcut when you are on the grid and press and hold on someone’s profile please :) Right now you can chat favorite or tap but, can we add hide/block to that as well. This way we don’t have to click on the profile to then click on the upper right corner to hide/block. Especially now that profile views are a huge thing, let’s not add ourselves to their profile viewed list if we don’t have to. Pls :)

    As a leader in the dating app industry, your organization and organizational responsibilities include safeguarding minors, protecting them against sexual exploitation, exposure and assault.

    That said, when Grindr runs advertisements that promote applications aimed at teens, run ads featuring teenage boys, you have fundamentally failed and should shamefully accept that you have put money above integrity. No organization that inherently protects minors, would allow ads to run that have any association with anything or anyone associated with minors in any form.

    You have the resources to have entire teams that audit, approve and report your ads, so i will not be told you didn’t know, were not aware or whatever excuse will be conjured up. This community has suffered insurmountable damage with the association to predatory practices, you are aware of this as i am very aware that i am not the first to mention this topic. If making money has blinded you to acceptable marketing strategies and practices, i guarantee that this area of society will illuminate and bring back much needed restructuring. How you respond determines how you feel about something….do with that what you will.

    As user safety Steal Brainrot Game and personal comfort are becoming top priorities, I believe Grindr could benefit from a new “Stealth Mode” option.
    This mode would allow users to browse profiles without appearing in the “Recently Viewed” list or “Online” status, giving more control to those who prefer discretion — especially in regions where being LGBTQ+ is still unsafe.

    This feature would not only improve user safety but also help users feel more confident and protected while connecting. Many modern social platforms already implement privacy-first modes, and bringing that idea to Grindr would show genuine care for user well-being.

    Block the sender immediately after viewing, leaving genuine users vulnerable and frustrated.

    This one-sided sharing dynamic has caused distrust and hostility, making Grindr feel less safe and more toxic. Instead of fostering connections, the app risks pushing away authentic users who value honesty and fairness.

    Proposed Solution: Mutual & Verified Album Sharing

    1. Mutual Access Requirement

    When Person A shares their album with Person B, Person B must also share their album in order to unlock access.

    This ensures reciprocity, fairness, and eliminates one-sided exploitation.

    1. Verification of Albums

    Albums must be verified (through simple in-app checks such as selfie + real-time camera verification) before they can be shared.

    This reduces fake profiles, catfishing, and misuse of others’ images.

    1. Unblockable Viewing Until Reciprocity

    Once an album is shared, it remains viewable until the recipient also shares their album.

17. No respect for users, blatant attempt at a money grab as Grindr dilutes the grid with fake profiles

    Grinders treatment of its users has become is disrespectful as any app I can recall. Generation of multiple fake profiles that are duplicated every 40 to 50 mi in the grid serve no purpose whatsoever besides diluting the grid in The continued lack of respect grinder has for its users and the obscene level of greed this company embraces. $20 a month for an app is a lot. $40 is insane but people pay it myself included. Not because it is worth it but just because the app is so fucking terrible. If you don't have it it becomes basically unusable. And that is referring to the app going back a few years today. Not having one of the premium subscriptions means the app is no more than an ad generating POS. I cannot believe unmitigated Gall of this company intentionally create dozens of fake profiles. Repeat them every 40 or 50 mi. They're not selling anything. They're not spam. They are designed to look on the surface like real profiles but they're obviously not. Brian are said they wanted to eliminate spam and they wanted to get rid of all this other stuff. Well at least the spam was real and not made by the company who made the app for no reason besides making the user experience as unpleasant and frustrating as possible to try to force people into spending money on it. I've paid $40 a month for quite some time more out of habit than anything. 0 everybody has suffered through this garbage and these terrible clunky apps. This terrible redesigns apps crashing constantly. Nothing working right. It just being nothing but a complete klusterfuk but people still pay for it. Thank you for encouraging me with your there's a complete lack of respect for your customer base along with rewarding Customer loyalty by intentionally making your product worse knowingly creating junk profiles just to force people to have to pay for your product to use it. I'd always thought pretty low of the company but I hoped in time that they would improve and thought by beta testing and paying for it and trying to be involved. Maybe I could provide some insight or offer anything to help improve an app that has been around for a long time consistently gets worse. But I see now that that I was stupid and played for a fool by this company. Just like everybody else that's paying for it and using it. I for one will not ever buy a subscription or give them another dime. In fact, I think the best route will be to delete all of my data from the app and then uninstall it and find something else. Paying $500 a year. This company work at making their product as poor as they can in order to try to get people who aren't paying for it to pay for it is unconscionable. Everybody's ripping consumers off these days. We all know that but this is so egregious and insulting that I for one would rather not use anything than endorse this company. Your loyalty is noted the onger you've been a customer and the more you have paid Grindr. They document it because the more you give them and the more loyal you are, the more they spit in your face. The audacity and complete disregard for the customers who have made this trash app. What it is should be repaid back to grinder in kind ideally with nobody paying for it anymore and them either selling it shutting it down or making at least some semblance of a working, scalable product. Seems like it would be a great place to work. Go in everyday instead of improving things do your best to find ways to make a bad product worse.     Hi. I noticed that many people block others instead of just saying they are not interested. In fact it’s a kind of bullying in a different way. The block feature supposed to be a last resort option when bullying occurs or if someone harasses someone or if someone doesn’t stop to send messages even when they were ask to stop doing that.
    My idea is to limit the number of blocks one can apply in 24 hours. Any number between 2-5 is reasonable.
    People should tel other people they are not interested in them. If the don’t want to see them again on the grid, we’ll, they can try the hide function.
