Messages that are clearly scams are coming from multiple different profiles, but the content in all of them is completely identical. Each profile has a different photo, but once a conversation starts, the pictures and phone numbers they send are the same, along with the following message:

Feature Suggestion – Option to Hide Online Status
Hi everyone,
I’ve been using Grindr for a while and really appreciate the updates, but I was wondering if there's a way to request a feature or if others feel the same. I think it would be useful to have an option to hide our online status or appear offline to certain users or in general. Sometimes users just want to browse quietly or take a break from chats without appearing rude. I checked the app settings but didn’t find anything related to this. The word “tr*nny” should not be allowed, seeing cis men using violent language/slurs to sexualize trans people is concerning
I feel as though allowing this slur is more harmful than empowering in this context. Grindr allows everyone of all gender identities to use such words that have been and still are used to dehumanize members of this vulnerable community. Sexualizing trans peoples’ existence as a whole is harmful in many ways and does lead to real life violence. I think this word is completely fine when used by a consenting trans person, but I do not want to see it, and I know most other trans people I’ve spoken to certainly do not either. Add escort services to the website
If there would be a chance to register as escort to grindr, you could charge a higher rate for those profiles and also solve the problem that the users have with the unwanted escort profiles that they find accidently, cause lets say there would be a separate page only for that and like this only those would see them that are looking for escort services.
