Better Matching Algorithm for Meaningful Connections
Hi Grindr Team,
I think it would be great if Incredibox app’s matching system focused more on compatibility and shared interests, not just proximity. Many users are looking for more than quick chats — they want genuine connections.What if Grindr introduced a smart matching algorithm that learns from profile interests, chat patterns, and preferred interaction types? For example, users who like deeper conversations could be shown to others with similar behavior.
This could make the platform more authentic, engaging, and community-driven, while still keeping the fast, easy vibe Grindr is known for.

I was thinking about buying a subscription but with all your performance issues this doesn’t seem like a good idea.
You are so hooked up on having as many ads as possible and that seems to be the only thing left on Grindr which is working properly.

Error « The following is not allowed : tentative »
It’s been 2 years now that I can’t change the infos in my profil. Every time I try to save an error says « the following is not allowed : tentative ». I never wrote « tentative » in my profil and even if I delete everything, the message keep coming when I try to save.

Stop letting people tap album pictures
I pay for xtra. Every time i share my album with the “view once” limit, guys have started tapping the pics so they stay in chat and can continue to view them indefinitely—completely negating the point of “view once”. it’s ridiculous.

Block selected profiles
Sometimes, there are many profiles we don’t want to be seen by. During those times, we have to go one by one, blocking or hiding those profiles. I think it would be much more effective to have an option to select multiple profiles and block or hide them with a single click.

[BUG] [Android] | Replying in the notification sends message to the notification on top, not the one being replied to
If youre replying in the notification UI, and receive a new notification, the reply will go to the newest notification. 3 times i have sent something to the wrong person and its just awkward..

Suggestion: Customize Online Status
Hello Grindr,
I suggest the “Customize Online Status” feature so that users can:
Choose to show Online, Hide Online, or Only to Friends.
Still use the app normally when in hidden mode, helping to protect privacy.
Benefits:
Better control over activity display.
Reduce annoyance when not wanting to interact.

Auto Logout Timer

I would like to propose the “Auto Logout Timer” feature to protect privacy:
Users can set the time to automatically log out after inactivity (e.g., 15 minutes, 30 minutes, or 1 hour).
When the time is up, the app will automatically log out, ensuring that no one can access the account if the device is forgotten or borrowed.
Option to warn before logging out to avoid interrupting the experience.
Benefits:
Protects user privacy and safety.
Reduces the risk of exposing personal information, messages, or sensitive images.
Helps Grindr become a safer platform for the LGBTQ+ community.

I would like to suggest adding a “Temporary Location Hide” feature to help users have better control over their privacy when traveling or in unfamiliar places.
Specifically, when enabled, the user’s location will be displayed in the city they choose (e.g., “New York” or “Bangkok”) instead of the exact GPS location. This helps ensure safety and avoid being tracked or revealing a real location in areas that are not safe for the LGBTQ+ community.

Smart Filter Suggestions Based on Mood / Activity (Date, Chat, Explore)
Hi Grindr team & community,
I often browse Grindr for different reasons—sometimes for dating, just to chat, or discover local connections—but having to scroll through all the Granny Game profiles every time feels clunky. I’d love to see a “Mood / Activity” smart filter added, where I can pick options like “Looking to chat”, “Want to date”, “Just exploring”, or “Nearby for coffee” and let the app reorder profiles accordingly.
Questions & thoughts:
Would this make the experience smoother for casual users who don’t always want to swipe endlessly?

BLOQUEAR
¿Porqué ahora en vez de "bloquear" da opción "ocultar"? Ya no se puede bloquear a alguien. Se selecciona "ocultar" y ni se oculta, sigue ahí el perfil de la persona con la que no se desea interactuar o ver.

Gps explored
Sin van a limitar la app tanto con sus membresias, mejor devuelvan el metodo de gps que tenia antes el explored, ya que unonpone una ubicacion y te salen los perfiles de tu alrededor, se supone que vas a otro lugar, no al mismo...
