Hi Grindr team & community,

I often browse Grindr for different reasons—sometimes for dating, just to chat, or discover local connections—but having to scroll through all the Granny Game profiles every time feels clunky. I’d love to see a “Mood / Activity” smart filter added, where I can pick options like “Looking to chat”, “Want to date”, “Just exploring”, or “Nearby for coffee” and let the app reorder profiles accordingly.

Questions & thoughts:

Would this make the experience smoother for casual users who don’t always want to swipe endlessly?

Do you think battery usage or backend load would increase significantly?

What other smart filtering options (time availability, interests, recent activity) would you want to see?
