2. Right Now

   I think subscribers should be able to access the Right Now feature for free and not be limited to two free sessions per week. Or, allow for more free sessions per week. I have Grindr Unlimited and don’t think I should have to pay for additional features that could be included.

4. This App Is Is Going Downhill

   It is unbelievable how fast this app changed from being the best to becoming the worst. New changes made this app less thrilling search for free members and extremely EXPENSIVE to subscribe. Trust me, this app won’t last that long…someone out there actually is building the best one unless Grindr does the right things. It’s starting to become corporate greed.

6. No onlyfans.com should be aloud. Its an abundance of ppl and bots. Its irritating and annoying. Plus, most of them are scammers!

   There shouldn't be any bots. There shouldn't be advertising for sex if ONLYFANS subscribe. These people are more bullys and harassment is not being taken fare off. Owners of onlyfan pages should not b allowed to register and shouldn't be advertising like electronic punks

7. Fake profiles

   Grindr is flooded with fake profiles. I see dozens per day. There's a plethora of fake trans profiles that try to lure you to Telegram. Many OF 'creators', but I suspect also fake profiles put there by grindr itself to give the impression there are more people online. Put in more safety guards to prevent bot profiles so I don't get approached repeatedly by fake accounts. I think almost everyone on this app has been approached by a fake 'Hamza from Dubai' or a trans person that wants to do everything if you just go to her Telegram. Also: I'm a gay man looking for a gay man. Why can't I filter this out? Tribes doesn't cut it. Make more fields in a profile mandatory.

    Organizing the favorites section by distance for all contacts, even those who have disabled the distance indicator, was really useful for knowing who to chat with based on who is in town or traveling. I don't think this posed any privacy or security issue, as it is a basic and useful feature of all dating apps. It also poses a major problem due to the risk of catfishing and theft of photos and information by people you can't tell if they're near you or thousands of miles away. People's distance is an useful and important information. Please consider restoring this functionality.

    Grindr should implement a comprehensive identity verification process to significantly reduce bots, fake profiles, and scam accounts.     1. Live Government ID Capture
       The app should require users to take a real-time photo of their government-issued ID using the in-app camera. Uploading files, images, or documents should not be allowed, as this prevents altered or fraudulent materials from being submitted.

    2. Live Face Verification
       Immediately following the ID scan, users should complete a live selfie capture. AI matching technology can compare the selfie to the ID to confirm that the identity belongs to the actual person creating the account.

    3. Email or Phone Verification
       A verified phone number or email should be required as an additional security layer. This prevents mass creation of fake accounts and provides reliable contact validation.

    4. Profile Activation After Approval Only
       Profiles should not become visible or active until the identity verification process is fully completed. This ensures that only verified individuals can interact with others on the platform.

    5. Verified Checkmark Badge
       Once a profile has passed all verification steps, a checkmark badge should appear on the profile, similar to verification systems used by Instagram and Facebook. This badge signals authenticity and increases user trust.

    I’d like to share a feature idea based on a common user experience, particularly relevant in regions where being openly gay still carries social risk (such as India and other conservative cultures).

    Problem:
    In many such regions, users often avoid profile photos for safety reasons. Conversations typically progress to private photo exchanges, but this creates a trust imbalance: one user is expected to share first, after which the other may block without reciprocating. This leads to anxiety, frustration, and negative user experiences, even when both parties had genuine interest.

    Areas Addressed:

    • Trust asymmetry during private photo sharing
    • Fear of exposure and misuse of shared images
    • High block rates after one-sided pic sharing
    • Cultural and safety sensitivities in non-Western markets

    Proposed Solution (Brief):
    Introduce a "Mutual Pic Swap” feature where photo sharing is locked until both users upload their images. The interface could visually show two side-by-side slots—one for each user. Photos remain inaccessible until both slots are filled, at which point they unlock simultaneously.

    This ensures fairness, consent, and reduces anxiety, while encouraging more respectful and meaningful interactions.

    I believe this feature could significantly improve user trust, reduce negative interactions, and better support Grindr’s global user base with culturally sensitive design.

16. All the Spam from people advertising and all the Only Fans garbage

    GRINDR needs to do something about this. Honestly, it seems like 1/4 of profiles now are these idiots advertising their ONLY FANS garbage, and another faction setting up new profiles every day to SPAM users with alternative websites to GRINDR. It's so tedious and annoying, it's beginning to seriously detract from the website experience. You are going to start losing more and more people.

    How about getting rid of advocating for the shareholders and actually opening up the grid range on the amount of real live people you can actually encounter.
