4. Add use unlimited mobile data option for chat backups

   Giving those of us with unlimited mobile data the option to use it instead of requiring WiFi is more in tune with the modern environment.

5. Received messages disappear

   Pretty much every Message I receive from others disappears when trying to read in the app. It is possible to read a message in my Notification Center but after clicking on it, to go in the app and reply, the message is not there anymore. Even after „refreshing“ there is no new message.

12. Dump the new albums.

    In theory, the new albums sound like a good idea. In practice, however, people have moved their once public photos to the private albums just because it's a new feature. Where I used to be able to look through profiles and see lots of pictures, now I look through profiles and see one picture with private albums.

    It makes me not want to spend as much time on the app :-) that may be a good thing, I don't know.

13. Include app settings in the backup

    I am constantly removing and reinstalling Grindr on my phone. Everytime I reinstall I have to repeat the configuration, for example, turn notifications off, etc. I also have to re configure the profiles filtering options.

    Why don't you just save all the settings and any other app state along with the messages backup?

    That would be very helpful.

14. Why doesn't grindr text doesn't support hyperlinks?

    It would be great if Grindr supports hyperlinks or link in message. Right now it's a plain text and we gotta copy paste if we share anything.

17. Fix bug of replies not being sent

    When I open the app upon receiving a message I am not able to reply. I have to type out my reply, copy it, send it, then wait for the not delivered message to pop up, close the app, reopen the app, go back to messages, tap the person I want to reply to message thread, paste, and then send again. This is rather annoying. I am running Android 10, and I don't know if this a problem specifically with this OS and your software or if it's across the board.
    Additionally, after the latest update, Dec 2021, I am unable to update my About Me information.

20. Cannot see myself as others would see me

    I'd like to see how my profile is "seen" outside.

    IOW, I'd like to have my profile listed at the "near" Tab along with the others.

    Why is this ?

    Because I usually do a very "sophisticaded" profile, with pictures and so forth. My description text is also intermingled with Unicode chars, arrows, symbols, etc. Also I don't know if my pics would "fit" well or not...

    Currently I'm not able to see how all that works, or how it's rendered on the page (mobile screen). Or , even, how my pics would appear "outside". Were they cut ? Were they well centered ?

    Other Apps do that, I mean, on the top left corner I ALWAYS see myself, as the other people would see me.

    I think Grindr is waaaaaaaay better than "other Apps", with a lot more features.

    But this is a missing point, IMHO.
