   There is a bug in the app where any user can explore and chat with people all around the world without doing the payment.

   Type your location in the explore textbox, search and find the person you want to connect.

   Now remove the location already typed in the explore by clicking the cross button.
   During this loading time, immediately click the person you want to connect, and chat will be enabled.

   You wont be asked to pay. Repeat the steps to chat with another person.

6. Filter who can message you

   I have had many issues with catfish and people claiming to be other people. A lot of the time these individuals operate from blank profiles. I understand why people use blank profiles but for my own online safety I choose no longer to engage with blank profiles. Rather than having to politely decline on an almost daily basis perhaps the ability to filter out who can message me would be a more effective. ie I only appear in the grid of profiles with face pics or I only appear on the grid of guys withing a certain age group. Basically a reverse of the current filter but rather than who appears on my grid a filter for who's grid I appear on.

9. Greedy Grindr

   Grindr keeps implementing unwanted functionality and limiting normal functionality, while stuffing the app with ads. You can really see the company is owned by investment agencies who want nothing else but to see as much return on investment, as soon as possible.

   The amount of people one can see is becoming less and less and the filters that can be used keep getting limited. Meanwhile, Grindr is implementing features that literally nobody asked for, such as albums, stupid GIFs and dumb gaymoji I’ve never seen anyone use if not accidentally.

   The prices you are asking for your premium subscriptions, Xtra and Unlimited, are completely excessive (€20 or €40 a month, literally where do you get the nerve). It makes it a product for only the rich, while making it inaccessible for the less wealthy LGBTs among us. Meanwhile, your largest competitor in Europe, ROMEO, is able to make profits with a premium subscription of only €7,50 a month, while offering its free users more features, ad-free, than you do to your Unlimited subscribers, and still donate parts of their profits to a non-profit LGBT-rights supporting foundation.

   Here’s an idea: give free users access to basic filters such as length and relationship status and give them the possibility to see reasonable amounts of people rather than limiting their view distance more and more. Other features, such as albums, gaymoji, GIFs and reading receipts you can make Xtra or Unlimited only.

   Change your policies now, because as long as Grindr keeps being a greedy company that only exists to milk the LGBT community off their money, I will never, I repeat NEVER pay for Grindr, and I will make sure it won’t make profits out of me by using a firewall ad blocker on my phone such as AdGuard, 1Blocker or Lockdown Firewall. Thanks for understanding.

18. Re-enable the app to allow device geospoofing for Xtra users

    With the 9.8.0 update Grindr does not allow mock location support on the device. This has the potential to put queer people at risk and if a user choose to change the location of their device then the app should respect that. There are so many privacy and safety reasons to allow this in the queer commmunity.

This also prevents the hassle of trying to figure out who speaks your language and who's using an online translator or who just ignored your message because the other person didn't understand you due to a language barrier. Furthermore, in the event that you decide to meet up with someone where there's no wifi connection, and this person doesn't speak your language, everything will be lost in translation. While a person's location does help to provide context clues, it doesn't always provide us with the information about what languages the other party speaks.
