1. Too Expensive

Even the one-week trial price is way too expensive. There are features that are great for protecting one's privacy being locked behind a paywall thats way too steep.

3. Enlarge mentioned photo from album

When you send an album to someone, and then the other person mentions or likes a photo in the album you’ll see the thumbnail of the photo that’s being liked. It’s impossible to then see what photo it is, you can’t enlarge it or go to the given photo in the album.

4. Stop resetting my filters. It's annoying.

I don't know if this is a bug or a "feature", but my filters reset every time I leave the app. It's super annoying and I hate it. Make it stop.

5. new favourite tab is a mess

Having it as a filter is not good. Small thumbnails, no details on distance, or last online, profiles with hidden distance now appear at the bottom.

I'm tired of watching ads just to be able to report obvious spam.

13. Business

My consulting firm’s eyeing a Swiss office in Bern. Wanted to know about corporate taxes before deciding. Discovered a site that’s super thorough, Taxes in Switzerland. It breaks down tax rates, incentives, and 2025 rules for businesses. The examples and cantonal variations were really practical for planning. Got a clear picture of what’s involved for our expansion.

15. Biggest pain point: Performance and spam

    Hi Grindr team,
Thank you for creating a space where we can share feedback — I appreciate the effort being put into improving the app.
That said, the biggest issue I’m currently facing is a combination of sluggish performance and ongoing problems with spam or fake accounts.
Performance: The app often feels slow or unresponsive, especially when opening chats, loading profiles, or switching between tabs. Even on a relatively new device with a strong internet connection, the lag can be noticeable. It affects the overall experience and makes everyday use frustrating at times.
Spam & fake profiles: Despite improvements, there are still a lot of suspicious or obviously fake accounts popping up — often with strange names, stolen photos, or too-good-to-be-true messages. It would be great to see stronger detection, more robust reporting tools, or even an optional verification system to help improve trust between users.
I love using Grindr to connect with people, and I think the platform has a lot of potential if these core issues are addressed more directly. Looking forward to seeing future updates, and thanks again for listening to the community!
    Best regards,
    Space Waves

16. Set the limit for blocking.

There should be a limit to the number of people who can be blocked. Many people block others simply because they're not interested, and some do so for no reason at all.

If someone particularly enjoys blocking others, it's likely a problem with that person.

Many people get blocked simply because they're not good-looking enough, which is really hurtful.

18. Travel: Expanding Horizons and Enriching Life

Travel is more than just moving from one place to another; it is an opportunity to broaden perspectives, experience diverse cultures, and create unforgettable memories. Whether it’s a weekend getaway to a nearby city or a journey across continents, traveling allows people to step outside their daily routines and see the world through fresh eyes.

One of the most rewarding aspects of travel is the exposure to different cultures. Visiting new destinations provides a firsthand understanding of traditions, customs, and ways of life that may be vastly different from one’s own. Sampling local cuisine, listening to regional music, and observing unique celebrations all contribute to a richer appreciation of human diversity.

Travel also fosters personal growth. Navigating unfamiliar streets, communicating in another language, or adapting to unexpected changes develops problem-solving skills and resilience. These challenges, while sometimes stressful, often lead to a stronger sense of independence and confidence.

19. Less FUCKING ads, like holy shit. You leave a chat? ad. You leave a profile? Ad. 15$ for 1 week of Grindr but free users get 150 ads

LESS ADS holy SHIT you charge people 15$ a WEEK in Canada for the extra bullshit HOW do you not produce enough money off that to not completely boggle all the free users (who also bring lots of money in by being forced to watch everyone of these fucking ads) makes absolutely no sense that I can’t view at least 5 profiles before being hit with 30 seconds of advertisement, when I JUST open the app and open a chat reply and leave it and get an ad that is actually fucking ridiculous. Haven’t even been on the app more than 2 minutes and now I have to wait 30 sec to use it again? All of this just to push people into buying you egregiously expensive extra. Really gross business practices for a business that’s largely used by people who already get the small end of the stick a majority of the time.
