DO BETTER! Stop Grindr enshittification.
Please stop the ongoing degradation of the app experience.
The platform is increasingly overrun with spam and bots, the ads have become far more intrusive, useful features continue to disappear (such as the ability to block users), and there are still no meaningful filters that allow users to find people they're actually interested in or hide profiles that clearly aren't a match. Instead of making discovery more relevant, users are left scrolling through countless irrelevant profiles - or no relevant profiles at all.
On top of that, Premium subscription prices have become disproportionately high considering the limited value they provide.…

Setting for Grindr's ability to open browser apps like "Chrome" and "Safari"
It would be comforting to know I have an option in app to control what other apps Grindr can open automatically or even when I click on it accidentally. As of now there is no such option. If there was at the very least there should be a confirmation prompt once you click on the ad.
I've also made a report on Chrome to which we'll see if there is a helpful response.10 votes -

Je vous contacte une nouvelle fois concernant un faux profil utilisant mes photographies et mon identité sur votre plateforme.
Malgré de multiples signalements effectués auprès de vos services, vous n'avez apporté aucune réponse à mes demandes et le profil concerné demeure actif. Cette personne continue ainsi d'utiliser mes photos sans mon consentement, de se faire passer pour moi et de porter atteinte à mon image en toute impunité.
La situation est d'autant plus grave que l'auteur de ce faux profil m'a adressé à plusieurs reprises des insultes et des menaces. Ces faits vous ont été signalés, mais aucune action…

New interest page
The interest page got a new layout. The list of views is now horizontal, the names and distances of the profiles are no longer visible.
This makes it worse to use. Until now, when the last view was visible for free (without being able to open the profile), you could tell if the profile was nearby or even who it was (from the name of the profile).
Bring back the old layout or integrate the old information into the new one.4 votes -

Ai and information collecting on Grindr Application
I woke up this morning to a notification from Grindr asking to allow information collection for Ai. EVERYTHING about this idea seems exceptionally problematic. For a site that's sole purpose is for the communication and connection of REAL people to people why and or what does Grinder want with any interest in Ai. Sure maybe for ad bot making, I get it, I'm mostly a free member too and circumventing ad bots is the price I pay for being too cheap to pay for the app full time, and I personally love Ai as a tool for my favorite porn…

Too many Fake Bot Accounts
Using Grindr has become increasingly frustrating. Despite paying for an Unlimited membership at $40/month, the overwhelming number of fake bot profiles has made the app nearly unusable. At this point, it feels like 90% of the interactions I receive are from bots rather than real people.
Considering the premium cost, this makes the service feel extremely poor in value. It’s disheartening to pay for features that are overshadowed by fake accounts and spam interactions. What should be an enjoyable and social experience has instead become exhausting and disappointing.

This app is supposed to be free. Do not create a free application if you're just going to annoy the fuck out of us with ads. Im literally uninstalling. It's already bad enough you people have allowed a DATING APP to turn into an STD filled slut hole.

Set visibility filters
Filters only work one way - what I am looking for. The opposite is glaringly missing - who can see me. I suspect it is not there, as it may result in too few profiles being visible to some people, but if I only want people looking for relationship to see me, and there are only 2 or 3, then that is my choice - I can always remove that again. I feel doing this would make the app a LOT more useful, as people don't tend to read profiles, so one gets bombarded by people you have to request…

More Bang for my Buck
Subscribers Should Get Double the Space for their profile. 10 pics, 30 for headliner/ name, 500 for profile, 20 tags. And more space for video uploading in their albums. Perhaps even distinct frames for those wanting M4M or just hookups or dating. Like a color hanky code system one can apply to their primary profile pic.
