This is super important for practicality and was of use, but also really
important to health and
for safety— for example, being able to use search to find past sexual partners and alert them of a positive STI result so that they can go get tested. (people don't always share phone numbers or talk outside the app). this is a really important for search bar, otherwise it can be basically impossible to find past sexual partners after several weeks/months.Nick

I would also like to comment my support for bringing back the ethnicity filter option. For me, this feature is about finding connections within my community, where shared cultural experiences and backgrounds can create meaningful bonds and connections, in both my country of residence (and also, importantly, while travelling and in new location that’s foreign to me). Sometimes, I want to connect with others who share my heritage, and the filter made it easier to find those who might understand and appreciate these shared experiences. Reinstating this option would help people like me find others with similar backgrounds, fostering a more inclusive and tailored experience on the platform.

yes I really miss this feature so much. it was so useful in keeping in touch with people that I enjoyed talking to. Grindr is supposed to be a community and more than just a hookup app.

it’s critically important to return the favorites tab, as others have stated, a separate tab with its own filters and search capabilities is much more user friendly than the update— no one enjoys having to fiddle with the filters more than necessary and this new update has created extra steps and over complicated something that worked fine before. please change it back.
