Get rid of hide. Return block
Hide doesn't work and has removed block feature. I want to block certain people and permanently block them and any new accounts. Get rid of hide. Says I must upgrade when I already am!

Seriously, Grindr, bring back the block button! This "hide" thing is useless. I just want to permanently get rid of some annoying profiles. It’s about safety, not just convenience! https://nowgames.net/

Placing a smart bet in Egypt isn’t just about picking your favorite team — it’s about strategy, timing, and using the right platform. For me, https://melbet-eg-site.com/app has become the go-to choice for sports betting in Egypt, and it’s helped me take my game to the next level.
Here’s how I approach it:
First, I always start by doing my homework. Melbet offers solid stats, live match info, and odds updates that make research easy and effective. I don’t bet just for the thrill — I bet with a plan. Looking at team form, player injuries, and even weather conditions helps me make smarter decisions.Second, I keep an eye on the odds. In Egypt, where the betting environment can be tricky, it’s important to get the best value. Melbet consistently gives me competitive odds, and I’ve learned how to spot the right moment to place my bet — especially for live events.
And finally, I manage my bankroll carefully. One of the biggest mistakes beginners make is chasing losses. I stick to a budget and spread my bets smartly, rather than going all-in on a single outcome. With Melbet’s easy interface and mobile access, I can control everything on the go — and that flexibility makes a huge difference.
Betting in Egypt might require a bit of discretion, but with the right mindset and a solid platform like Melbet, it’s more than possible to enjoy the ride — and win smartly along the way.

The decision to remove Grindr’s block feature in favor of a “hide” function presents serious concerns from both a user safety and legal liability standpoint. The block feature wasn’t just a convenience — it was a digital safeguard that allowed individuals to set firm boundaries and protect themselves from harassment, stalking, or harmful behavior.
By contrast, the “hide” option only makes a user invisible on their own screen. It does not stop another person from viewing, messaging, or even tracking them if they create a new profile or use another device. This shift significantly weakens user protection and undermines the app’s responsibility to maintain a safe environment.
Legally, this could expose Grindr to negligence claims and liability under duty-of-care standards, especially in regions with strong privacy and consumer protection laws such as the GDPR in Europe or the CCPA in California. Platforms that knowingly remove critical safety features may be held accountable for harm that results from their inaction.
There are also broader legal implications: in schools and public institutions governed by Title IX, or in situations involving harassment, stalking, or even blackmail, the lack of a true blocking tool puts users at increased risk and leaves Grindr vulnerable to being seen as complicit by omission.
This concern is even more urgent in countries or regions where LGBTQ+ individuals face criminalization or violence. For many users, blocking isn’t optional — it’s a tool for survival. Without it, they are left more exposed to serious threats, which may carry international human rights consequences for Grindr.
Grindr must act quickly to restore the block feature and reinforce user safety. Doing so would protect users, reduce legal risk, and reaffirm the company’s commitment to responsible platform governance.
Every user deserves a secure and respectful digital environment. This starts with giving people the ability to protect themselves.

According to your terms of service, the free users can only hide the profiles that they have not spoken to. When it is done the number of profiles in the grid reduces and it does not refresh with new profiles. There are a number of annoying profiles, which make a new account every day and show up in the grid. It’s just fucking annoying to see those profiles every time I come into this app and have to reduce the functionality because of your stupid feature. This is your shitty attempt to make users pay. Guess what? This only makes me hate the app more. Nobody wants this on my feature. If you don’t just take it away, then we just have to find another way where we just sent a message to the profile that we don’t want and block immediately right after.

After I thought about it for a little bit it seems like a set up by Grindr. They’ll remove access to block anyone you want, tons of people will complain, and they will eventually re-introduce it, but only for the unlimited plan. Which will drive people to pay even more for an app that has more glitches and bugs than functioning features. And it’s been like that for several years now.

Worst change ever on the app. I pay for XTRA, I should be able to block any profile I’d like. YES, it is for organizing my grid. Don’t tell us how to use a feature on the app we pay WAY too much for. It’s also for sparing myself contact with jerks I have met outside of this app. Why should I have to wait to be contacted by them first. If Grindr really cares about our safety, they would change this back so we can block questionable guys. I’m trying to think of a good reason why Grindr would have changed this. The only thing I can come up with is it’s cheaper for them to have people doing less blocks than maintaining all that data on their servers???

I know a lot of abusive guys near me and I always block them on sight. Now, whenever they make their new account of the week, the best I can do is hide them or send them a message just so I can block them. It makes no sense. It's a horrible decision to not have a free block button on an app that already makes people feel so unsafe.

My journey into betting started by chance. One day, at a party, I was offered to bet on a football match. The bet was successful, and I felt the excitement. However, I quickly realized that for stable winnings you need a strategy. I was recommended the site https://murakami-salmon.com/ , where I learned how to analyze statistics and make informed bets. Since then, my winnings have become stable, and the excitement has turned into a reasonable game.

Agreed! People tap me after I've already hidden them, and I can't respond to a tap with a block - it's very uncomfortable
