I pay for the services, if you want to have something different please remove age from the app choices. I think if I like to look Top, ver, etc. is the same issues, or color, nationality.....

I am a Grinder user in Norway. I am 44 years old, but I really like younger guys. I don't know if this is the case in every country, but in Norway, Grinder is treated like a brothel and not as a dating site. There are tons of perverts and bad people here. Grinder in Norway is one big garbage can. The mockery of age and rudeness is the order of the day. Is it the same in other countries. I am gay and nowadays in the Norwegian community they are mostly fags - if you understand the differences.

How about we all stop being ageists and focus instead on personality and attraction? I turned 51 last year. If you look at me you would guess that I'm in my late 30s. I have talked to a lot of guys on Grindr who have the "my age" phrase in their profile. After they see that I'm a great guy and they like me I tell them how hold I am. They're always shocked. I don't care how old someone is. If I'm attracted to them that's all that matters. I know a lot of older guys who get depressed over the rejection they experience. It's a horrible way to live.

@Amit well you're missing my point: there can't be any filter based on attractiveness because attractiveness is 100% subjective. or explain to me how such a filter would work.

I agree that there is a lot of ageism on grindr and or the gay community in general. and yes actual age and how old someone looks are also two different things. .

But still, the point of this filter would be that IF someone has a strict age filter and IF I'm outside of their age range, that THEN I don't even want to see their profile. It's just a matter of efficiency. Why should I waste time looking at profiles if our age preferences don't match?

@Amit yeah right, attractiveness is completely objective of course. what a lot of bull. and it's perfectly understandable if people have age limits, and you should respect that instead of lying to them. and for what? get 100 instead of 10 messages. quality over quantity is the better approach anyway.
