Bring Back Block Feature—A Critical Safety Tool
Grindr's recent removal of the 'block' feature in favor of 'hide' poses a significant safety risk for users who rely on clear boundaries. While 'hide' allows users to remain visible to potentially harmful individuals, the 'block' feature provided a much-needed, stronger barrier against harassment and stalking. For many users, the ability to completely sever contact with dangerous individuals is not just a convenience—it's a vital safety measure. Reintroducing 'block' would give users full control over their interactions and enhance their sense of security while using the app. Prioritizing safety by bringing back the 'block' feature will demonstrate Grindr's commitment to creating a secure environment for all users.

I totally agree! I hate the "hide" feature. It's pointless. We can block when we report someone for spam, so I guess from now on that is what I will do. Just report who ever I want to block as a spammer. I will comment about why I am blocking when I do this.

This is such an important issue. The difference between blocking and hiding is huge when it comes to user safety — hiding doesn't actually remove someone from your experience, which defeats the purpose for people dealing with harassment or stalking. I completely understand why users are pushing back against this change. Safety features shouldn't be downgraded for design or engagement metrics. The fact that so many people have voiced their concerns shows how vital the block function is for feeling secure on the platform. For more discussions about user safety and community feedback, I've seen similar threads on https://crorewinbangladesh.com/ occasionally. I hope the platform listens to its users and restores this essential tool.

The block button is about way more than just making things easy. Like a podcast host I heard talking about using https://www.bechdeltest.org as a quick filter, convenience is great. But at the end of the day, better UX also means keeping people safe when they interact, don't you think?

The blocking feature is not merely a matter of convenience; I listened to a podcast where the anchor got a lot of convenience by making free fortune-telling like https://www.fortunetelleronline.app. But we also need to consider the security of user interaction to improve the user experience, right?

Bringing back the block feature is essential for maintaining user safety and control within the platform. This tool allows individuals to protect themselves from unwanted interactions, harassment, or disruptive behavior by preventing specific users from contacting or viewing their content https://probarcamara.com/. Without it, users may feel exposed or unable to manage their own experience effectively.

while blocking is vital for safety, many, many, many use it to spread hate. Doing it without real danger leads to resentment. Crating and continuing the hazardous cycle of stalking. We more than anybody would benefit from kindness to heal our long list of wounds that hatred done

The block feature is not just a convenience, it’s a basic safety tool that many users rely on to protect themselves from harassment, unwanted contact, or even stalking. Replacing it with a “hide” option doesn’t offer the same level of control, since users can still remain visible to people they’re trying to avoid, which defeats the purpose of setting clear boundaries . Bringing back a proper blocking system would show that user safety is being prioritized over engagement metrics and would help rebuild trust in the platform. Features like this are essential in any digital space, especially where personal interaction is involved, and just like understanding important terms through resources such as https://lawdefiner.com/ can help people make informed decisions, having the right safety tools helps users feel secure while using the app.

Totally agree, safety should always come first. Being able to fully block creeps is non-negotiable. Honestly, I’ve been so stressed lately that I’ve just been chilling with my https://claudebuddy.net claude pet</a> to relax and keep my peace of mind. It’s been a lifesaver for keeping things positive online.

Please, this is a MUST, bring back the block and remove the Hide option because when I block someone is because I don’t want to hear or read or know anything about that person or thing, and also is for my safety and emotional health and the most important my safety, thank you.
