Agreed! Grindr has the worst search function of any of the hookup apps. It’s like they deliberately want to waste your time, it’s really bad.

I completely don't understand why a feature like this was removed from messages. Who dreamed this? Have they never searched on personal message on their phone by conversation? I pay the same for something taken away. Can I get a credit?

Need the search bar back in messages

This is super important for practicality and was of use, but also really
important to health and
for safety— for example, being able to use search to find past sexual partners and alert them of a positive STI result so that they can go get tested. (people don't always share phone numbers or talk outside the app). this is a really important for search bar, otherwise it can be basically impossible to find past sexual partners after several weeks/months.
