6. Fix your ads

   Your ads have become a joke. They pop up way too often and while in the middle of typing, when you open an expiring image and you don’t even get to view it.
   The tricks that are used to make it so hard to close the ads are a joke. This app used to be good, it’s now turning into trash and I’m using other apps more now as it’s sooo annoying.

8. Exclusion filtering

   Right now it’s only possible to use filters to showcase profiles that have the selected criteria. But i’d like to see the option to not showcase certain profiles based on what they have on their profile. For instance, i’d want to filter away everyone who has “hookup” in their looking for, so that I can see profiles that arent hunting.

9. Grinder to respond to every suggestion

   You all realize you are just here to bark out your complaints and literally no one will ever hear from the folks looking at these at Grinder. The more you move away from the app it gives better ones out there a chance. They limit free experience to a row of folks to check out, increased price for nothing unique, allowed str8 to overwhelm the opportunity to take space from a gay man, spam accounts are multiplying like fire at any location, and gave up on making it a gay mans app long time ago. They don’t care about anyone’s thoughts feelings It’s a business. Leaving comments here is like writing with invisible ink. Actions will matter stop subscription, move onto other apps. That’s my suggestion.

12. Taps more than 3hours old are now hidden?!

    What the hell? As if Grindr weren’t pretty shitty already (the free version), you have to go and make it worse? We can’t see taps more than 3 hours old, the grid doesn’t refresh on its own (if it loads at all), and you can’t even view a profile without getting an ad. You guys have just gotten greedy and it’s disgusting.

    As an app originally intended and still almost exclusively used for and by men interested in other men, to now have scores of female profiles and transgender individuals who clearly don’t fit the crowd and stick out like ingrown toe nails, is both extremely obnoxious & moderately offensive, and also indicates that Grindr’s current owners aren’t taking their true base of customers seriously anymore, if they ever did. That they now allow people who aren’t gay or bi MEN to sign up at all is more proof of this. Furthermore, when the majority of profiles are faceless and stay that way, and refuse to share their face pics even in private chat, it makes one wonder why there’s suddenly so much fewer authentic, openly gay MEN on an app made for the same! Grindr didn’t used to be like this until it came under new ownership, and I for one don’t like how it’s become. Requiring face pictures also eliminates the issue of Gestapo pieces of garbage coming onto the app so they can collect pictures and information about specific individuals, and maybe even gay men generally, in some cases. Grindr’s ownership needs a wake up call, unless they plan to rebrand their business to target women, trannies, and fucking dirty cops (including dirtbag federal agents).

    Agregar un filtro donde se pueda seleccionar los perfiles con redes sociales y poder elegir que redes sociales específicamente.
    También me parece bien que se agrege un filtro inverso que envés de mostrar lo que escoges haga lo contrario.
    Por ejemplo en el rol (pasivo versátil activo)
    También se pueda seleccionar el rol o los roles que no queremos ver en pantalla

16. Profile filters for chat

    Hi,

    It would be very useful to implement filtering of the recieved messages/chat using the same filters as in profile feed. Reason for this is when travelling to a new location, tens to hundreds of incoming messages get recieved and filtering them by personal criteria would significantly save time and protect from being overwhelmed, i.e. spammed.

    I hope you consider this suggestion. Good work team!

17. You must make the free version usable and popular again

    I have used Grindr consistently for 15 years and paid for it for the past 10. In my opinion, nothing has ever compared to this app. That being said the tide is changing and I believe I understand why. I recently went back to the basic version of the app and I realize just how bad it is for these people trying to use it. Long gone of the times where it was still a usable app… No wonder so many people new to the scene over the past five years or so or not even considering Grindr as an app that they would want to use. You need to make the free version popular again otherwise you are going to kill your own brand and kill this app forever. Don't wait until it's too late, Please. I am not going to resubscribe and pay for something that people aren't using. I paid for it because people were using it.

20. Still waiting for a feature that allows you to make yourself invisible to people you aren't interested in.

    I keep getting messages from men old enough to be my dad and 10+ years younger than me. I have my search filtered to look no more than 2 years younger and no more than 6 years older. This has been asked for many, many times. There needs to be at the very least a checkbox to make yourself visible to everybody you've filtered out of your search so people don't end up wasting their time on someone they don't have a chance with. The potential for these interactions to start means potential for abuse. I've had guys who I'm 100% not interested in message me and when I don't reply, message me again later with something abusive which is why I ultimately don't reply that I'm not interested, because it'll probably result in an abusive response. It would be easiest if we just can't see eachother to start with.
