The app GPS
The app GPS has being so bad. I never know how far I am. It shows about 4 profiles near me, then it jumps either to London or further away. When I click on a profile to send a message it shows that it's close to me. When I click to type the message, it shows that it id far away. Its all really bad and annoying.

“Not interested” tap option
Taps. Currently we have the flame, devil and friendly hello tap option. Why don’t we have a “not interested” tap option too? A lot of people have problems with being ignored by others when someone isn’t interested in them. However, people also cannot be bothered to reject others with words - it’s too much effort. Boost Popup is Intrusive.
I get it. Boost is revenue for your company. But I am already s lying customer. Why do you pop it up when I'm in the middle of trying to type something and almost accidentally click it. If I wanted to boost then it should be in my settings and only display when I tap it. Now it just pops up at random times when I'm scrolling my grid and could cause unwanted taps. Can't create account or login without Google Play Services installed
I don't have google play services installed by choice for privacy reasons, but the Grindr app doesn't let me set up an account or login. Google services should be a soft dependency, used when they're available, but not critical.
There's nothing Grindr does that requires google services, account sign up should be via Grindrs servers, location can be via android location permissions, and notifications can be via email or unified push

Block same user one time
when you block someone, possibility to choose "block all profiles that may come from the same user". this would avoid having to block the same person each time he creates a new profile or with a new email

community help and standards issue.
I get you want to protect the community but protecting them when they’re wrong and not informed is inhumane and inconsiderate of you. you’re causing more harm then good you basically keep making them stupid and behave in inhumane ways and justify that behavior when you’re not helping the community you’re training them to be killers. This is a hook up app not to instill misinformation and make them into something they’re not. Quit manipulating them immediately.

Applying Penalties To Rude Users
I think for a while now, I as well as a lot of others have been the victim of extremely negative behavior when talking with other users on the app. This can come at a cost of mental health and while blocking does exist, sometimes it does not feel like enough. I don’t know how it would be implemented but I believe that certain accounts should be essentially shadowbanned, as in their reach and availability to other people should be lowered for a period of time after being reported.
