Filter who can message you
I have had many issues with catfish and people claiming to be other people. A lot of the time these individuals operate from blank profiles. I understand why people use blank profiles but for my own online safety I choose no longer to engage with blank profiles. Rather than having to politely decline on an almost daily basis perhaps the ability to filter out who can message me would be a more effective. ie I only appear in the grid of profiles with face pics or I only appear on the grid of guys withing a certain age group. Nerd Tribe
There should be a "Nerd" tribe. Geek and Nerd mean different things, geek generally has more of a negative connotation now than nerd. Geek also more means someone who is smart, whereas nerd means someone who is into nerdy things, fandom culture. I think the nerdy gays would appreciate being. Able to label themselves as such rather than having to use geek.

Make Grindr 4 gays again.
No offense to anyone first off. Second get rid of these couples and straight chicks asap. Also Trans, CD's need there own app asap, im so sick of scrolling and seeing women im gay for a reason, woman shouldnt even be a gender option in a male gay dating app.

People should be forced to read the profiles
1) Nowadays, double clicking on the profile opens the chat directly, this way many users don't see the profile before opening the chat. You need to END with this possibility; double clicking on the profile should open ONLY the profile, not the chat!
2) When people open the profile, they usually don't go down to read the information. The profile text should appear IN FRONT OF the profile photo when one opens the profile, like what already happens when one goes down the profile to read the informations. SECURITY
I'm communicating to express my concern and anger, why I can't believe you as developers allow xenophobia, racism, classism, hate language, drug sale, paedophilia, prostitution, and especially allowing criminal groups to come in with fake profiles. . They have an obligation to protect the whole community, but allowing all the above, they show that all they care about is making money. . With supposed useless improvements, they only made this unsafe and full application of hatred within the same community.

Fix the fucking tap button
Here we go again! App does another update and now the tap feature doesn't work. Can you fucking people get anything right? Last time, it was the block feature and you were unable to block anyone. What a worthless piece of app.

Add 'Cute' in Taps
Currently we only have 'Hot', 'Hi', 'Naughty' options in Tap. It would be good if we have something for 'Cute' as not everyone hot is cute.

Friends only tag
Please add a “friends only” tag. My husband and I are in a committed relationship but would love to make some more friends locally after moving. It’s been an impossible and depressing experience on Grindr so far but this tag would help us filter through profiles and only approach people who are genuinely looking for the same thing as we are. We feel really isolated because we don’t know any other LGBTQ+ people near us. A Friends only tag or setting would really help us.

How about profiles you block stay blocked?
I block the same 3 profiles everyday! Same names, same photos. Why do they keep coming back? These are people I want nothing to do with. Yet, they pop back up once a day. Does blocking do anything?

Endless Advertising
I started as a free basic b*tch profile, so I couldn’t see who was looking at me. I had advertisements at the top of the screen, mid screen, tap on a profile or chat and would have to sit through a commercial. I understand the need to generate income how else do you keep people spending if you don’t try selling them on the next best thing. It is crazy how expensive this app has gone through the roof. Remove all Ads
This app is failing big time. Not only are women, fake accounts and bots all over it but now you have to sit through long stupid ads. Every time you press x it pulls up another ad. Its ridiculous. Remove the ads or at least one x and they gone. And remove the ad countdown.

Syncing (not) between devices
The messages don’t sync on different devices, so it would be great to adapt this in the very near future, and make it possible to seemlessly use one account on different devices. Such as for couples with shared accounts i.e.

Require profile picture
75% of the app is closeted profiles its absurd. People should be inactive till they upload a profile picture. I don't feel safe or proud of a community that's a sea of endless black screens who speak in vague and shady ways. Or make new profiles to harass people after being blocked and you don't know who you've spoken to before because everyone has the same looking profile. Do better.
