1. Edge Ads

I don’t care how many times it pops up; I can’t afford a second car payment. $350/month is stupid and so are the ads.

5. DO BETTER! Stop Grindr enshittification.

Please stop the ongoing degradation of the app experience.

The platform is increasingly overrun with spam and bots, the ads have become far more intrusive, useful features continue to disappear (such as the ability to block users), and there are still no meaningful filters that allow users to find people they're actually interested in or hide profiles that clearly aren't a match. Instead of making discovery more relevant, users are left scrolling through countless irrelevant profiles - or no relevant profiles at all.

On top of that, Premium subscription prices have become disproportionately high considering the limited value they provide. It feels like users are being asked to pay more while receiving less in return.

If this trend continues, it will eventually reach a tipping point where long-time users decide the app is no longer worth using. A platform can only remove value and increase friction for so long before people simply stop engaging and look elsewhere.

7. Remove Taps

Taps are annoying & useless may I request that Grindr gets rid of taps for good? Because users on the Grindr app hate taps & it takes up space for better features on the app. I remember in 2020 I seen a guy said in his bio that if you gave him a tap he’ll block you. Now users can’t see taps unless they pay for the extra feature or get Grindr unlimited. It was never like that users were able to see taps for free. Please Grindr I invite you to think about removing taps at this point it’s useless to keep it especially now that users can’t see it. And when you remove taps users would have no choice but to message each other because users would tap each other but not message them which makes no sense. It would also improve communication among users.

10. Do something about all the fake bot accounts!

So many fake bot accounts using the same 4 pictures. How many spam reports need to be received before something is done. Maybe some sort of verification needs to be put in place. Like getting a code texted to you or something when you make a new account. This is getting really ridiculous having half of my feed covered in bot accounts. I mean what do we pay for xtra or unlimited for if all we are seeing is more of the same bot accounts?

11. How much does it cost to open a corporate bank account in Dubai?

Opening a corporate bank account is an important step after establishing a business in Dubai. A business account allows you to receive customer payments, pay suppliers, manage expenses, process salaries, and handle local and international transactions.

One of the most common questions entrepreneurs ask is, corporate bank account opening cost Dubai

There is no single fixed amount. The cost depends on the bank, account type, company structure, minimum balance, transaction requirements, and additional services you choose.

What Is a Corporate Bank Account?

A corporate bank account is a business account opened in the legal name of a company.

It is used for business transactions rather than personal spending. Businesses can use it to receive revenue, pay employees and suppliers, make transfers, manage operating expenses, and maintain proper financial records.

A company generally needs to be legally registered before applying for a corporate bank account.

How Much Does It Cost to Open a Corporate Bank Account in Dubai?

The actual cost can vary significantly between banks and account packages.

Some banks may have relatively low account-opening or setup charges, while others may focus more on minimum balance requirements and monthly account maintenance fees.

In addition to bank charges, businesses may need to budget for professional assistance if they use a corporate bank account opening service.

The best way to calculate the cost is to consider the total banking expense, rather than looking only at an account-opening fee.

    Main Costs to Consider

When calculating the cost of opening and maintaining a corporate account, consider several different expenses.

These can include account opening charges, monthly maintenance fees, minimum balance requirements, local transfer fees, international transfer charges, cash deposit fees, cheque fees, foreign exchange charges, and other transaction costs.

Not every bank applies all of these charges.

Is There an Account Opening Fee?

Some banks may charge an initial account-opening or setup fee, while others may not.

The amount and structure can depend on the account type and bank.

Because banking packages can differ, you should always ask for a complete fee schedule before opening the account.

What Is a Minimum Balance Requirement?

A minimum balance is the amount a company may need to maintain in its bank account.

Some corporate accounts have a minimum monthly or average balance requirement, while others may have lower or no minimum balance requirements.

This is an important part of the cost because failing to maintain the required balance can result in additional charges.

Does Minimum Balance Count as a Cost?

Technically, the money remains yours and can be used for business purposes subject to the bank's conditions.

However, it still affects your cash flow because part of your company's funds may need to remain in the account.

For a new business, choosing an account with a manageable minimum balance can be particularly important.

    Monthly Maintenance Fees

Some corporate accounts charge a monthly fee for maintaining the account.

The fee can depend on whether your company meets the required balance or uses specific banking services.

Before opening the account, ask what the monthly fee is and whether it can be waived.

    Local Transfer Charges

Businesses regularly make payments to suppliers, employees, service providers, and other companies.

Banks may charge fees for certain local transfers depending on the account and transfer method.

If your company makes frequent transfers, these charges can add up over time.

    International Transfer Charges

International transfers can be an important consideration for companies working with overseas customers or suppliers.

Fees can vary depending on the destination, currency, transfer method, and bank.

Some transactions can also involve intermediary bank charges or currency conversion costs.

Businesses with significant international activity should compare these charges carefully.

    Foreign Exchange Costs

If your business receives or sends money in currencies other than AED, foreign exchange costs can affect your overall banking expenses.

The difference between exchange rates and additional conversion charges can become significant for companies handling regular international payments.

This is particularly important for importers, exporters, international consultants, and global service companies.

    Cash Deposit Charges

Businesses that handle physical cash may need to make regular cash deposits.

Some banks charge fees for cash deposits depending on the amount, frequency, or method used.

Companies with retail or cash-intensive operations should ask about these charges before choosing an account.

    Cheque and Other Banking Charges

If your company uses cheques, cheque books, bank drafts, or other banking services, additional charges may apply.

Digital-first businesses may have fewer of these costs, while traditional businesses may use more banking services.

Does the Company Type Affect the Cost?

    Yes.

The banking requirements can differ between mainland companies, free zone companies, offshore structures, and other business types.

Banks may also consider the company's ownership, activities, location, transaction patterns, and financial profile.

This means the account options available to one company may not be identical to those available to another.

Do Free Zone Companies Need a Different Bank Account?

Free zone companies can apply for corporate bank accounts just like other eligible UAE businesses.

However, the bank may ask for documents relating to the free zone license, company ownership, business activity, and expected transactions.

The company's free zone status does not automatically guarantee account approval.

Do Mainland Companies Have More Banking Options?

Mainland companies can apply to UAE banks for corporate accounts and may have access to different account options depending on the bank's eligibility criteria.

The most suitable bank still depends on the nature of the business.

The best account for a trading company may not be the best choice for a consultancy or technology company.

    What Documents Are Required?

The exact documents depend on the bank and company structure.

    Common documents can include:

    • Trade license
    • Certificate of incorporation
    • Memorandum and Articles of Association
    • Shareholder information
    • Passport copies
    • Emirates ID where applicable
    • Proof of address
    • Company profile
    • Business plan
    • Information about expected transactions
    • Source of funds information

    What Is Source of Wealth?

Source of wealth refers to how the business owner or shareholder accumulated their overall wealth.

Depending on the account application, the bank may request information about business ownership, employment, investments, property, or other financial sources.

Can a New Company Open a Bank Account?

    Yes.

A newly established company can apply for corporate banking.

However, because a new business may not have an extensive financial history, the bank may ask more questions about the business model, planned transactions, source of funds, customers, and expected revenue.

A clear company profile can help explain the business.

Can Foreigners Open a Corporate Bank Account in Dubai?

Yes. Foreign-owned UAE companies can apply for corporate bank accounts.

The bank may conduct additional checks depending on the ownership structure, country of residence, business activity, and expected international transactions.

Foreign ownership itself does not automatically prevent a company from opening an account.

What Should You Ask the Bank Before Opening the Account?

Before opening your account, ask about the minimum balance, monthly fees, local transfers, international transfers, cash deposits, foreign exchange, cheque services, online banking, and any other charges.

You should also ask which documents are required and whether the bank expects the company's owner or authorised signatory to attend a meeting.

Getting these details in advance can prevent surprises later.

Should You Use Corporate Bank Account Opening Services?

You can apply directly to a bank.

However, professional Corporate Bank Account Opening Services in Dubai can be useful if you are unfamiliar with UAE banking requirements or want help comparing banks and preparing your application.

This can be especially useful for foreign investors, new companies, and businesses with international shareholders.
