Being able to sort by distance - nearest to farthest - would really be a huge win for this app.

3. expand limited viewing

the recent update extremely limited the number of users shown with only one “tribe” filter on, and forces you to pay to see more. i’m limited to see 12 users within 3 miles of me. wtf before i could see up to 15-20 miles away. no one wants to pay an obscene amount for a hookup/dating app. stop pushing Xtra and focus on a superior user experience instead and maybe people would be willing to meet at a reasonable price.

5. filters

What if I am into blondies? There should be a filter for that. The app is getting more useless day by day, instead of developing filters, we just get more adds.

6. Filter or tag by language/nationality

Let us tag or filter by nationalities or languages.

This would be a great way to meet people from our native countries or who speak languages we can more easily communicate. Adding our own nationality or language to our profile would be our choice and so would only be used by people who want to participate.

9. race

I know in America the race thing is sensitive. Here in Europe, there is absolutely no issue with saying you are more intro this or that skin color, because it's just a natural attraction. I am white and I like darker skins because I love difference and exotic people. I would like to be able to select people based on the fact that they are non-white. I can hardly imagine you would call me a racist against myself, right? That would be dumb. So please reinstate skin tone selection. Skin tone is not racist, so you would not have any issue. Just create a slider representing skin tone preference. Other apps offer this. I am considering changing apps (I pay for Grindr) if this is not implemented. Thanks.

15. Map with active users and their avatars

I would like if the app had a Map section for accessibility reasons. A map where you can see small avatars of the profile pictures of the users and where they are.
Why? It's not the same if a guy is 1km away with a very good public transport connection, than a guy that is the same distance away but you have to take 3 metro/bus lines, or it's on the top of a hill you have to walk up (if you can walk). Some dates won't happen because of the subway/bus transfers you have to make or the uphill walk. Same distance doesn't mean same easyness. Sometimes further is easier.
So if we could be shown where (approximately) the other person is, we'd also know how accessible their area is.

I know this useful tool could become a dangerous weapon for some people, so the map shouldn't point at the exact location but somewhere random within 100m of the real location. Or even better, that we could chose where we appear (within a radius of our real location).

This kind of map is currently working on another dating app (blwjbs web) and it's very very useful and lots of users in the area are liking it more than Grindr, it's an expansion opportunity too and could lose less users.

16. Grindr LLC

The problem is the company itself. They don’t care about your issues or the fact that you can’t find real love because of how woke and horrible this company is. My type of guy shouldn’t start 600 miles away. There’s attractive people all around and I believe this company hides them to force you to talk to a person on non interest.
