Side sounds more like you are the person a married man has sex with outside his marriage.
Better to have "no anal", "oral" and "masterbation" then something ridiculous like "side". Plus with only a very tiny handful of guys using it, it is not really worth adding.

Can we add the sexual preference option, "Side"? As opposed to top, bottom, oral, versatile, etc? A side is someone who doesn't top or bottom, but likes everything else. There are many men out there who identify as sides, and it would be great to add this on as an additional screener. Thank you!

Having the option to identify as side would not only save time for both ppl who like anal and ppl who don’t to find each other and have less explaining to do, but it would help educate the community on what a side is without sides having to constantly educate every individual who messages that might not even stay in their lives.

As a side myself I can old add that it is not fair on the tops and bottoms who are left guessing.

Hear hear! C’mon, Grindr! You can do this. It takes NOTHING away from the guys who want to F and it opens up a world of options for so many MSM who don’t. It also opens up and broadens an important conversation among men who have sex with men about what constitutes great sex, and it encourages openness about our desires. You know, many of the men who currently list as top or bottom are only doing so because they don’t even know that there’s a valid alternative to buttsex. Please take action to improve your platform by welcoming the hoards of hоrny guys who break the mold.

I've commented on this before, and I continually get updates--and almost EVERYONE supports a third option to the standard top/bottom. Yet as "MAX" has just pointed out, six months later and no change--when it would be SO simple for a programmer to change this.

I'm a bottom, but it makes so much sense to offer this third option. How about it guys? ("guys' meaning the powers that be at Grinder)

The term "side" is catching on. Please add this.

Make extra terms if you will but most of the time I’m looking just for oral when it comes to hooking up. That has nothing to do with top/bottom/versatile

Adding the term Side does mesh with the terms Top, Bottom it allows the position to be at least as important and or equivalent to the other positions. "Oral only" is kind of like saying "only ketchup" but know you are still getting the meat and bun. Saying "no anal" seems like you are saying I'm gay but there won't be any glitter... also once the term Side catches on, which it will, everyone will know understand what it means. Personally I'd rather have to explain what Side means than feel like the current terms don't include or describe me.

Oral only would honestly be easier, because all 'Side' is going to do is make us explain what that means.

I understand that for most people anal sex is very important, but I don't enjoy it in either position, and the truth is that explaining that over and over again sucks. No matter how I currently fill out this field, I am stuck having the same hurtful "Are you sure you are even gay?" conversation on a regular basis. Please add this option to the list.

Hi i am from india and here SIDE as a sexual preference is there but the option on grindr isn't . And i find that it needs representation as this is a legit preference and still isn't available on grindr .

Side is more than a trend. Men have been prejudiced again for years and it’s time to include everyone. What’s the worst that happens? The option is used less frequently. So what?

PLEASE add Side as a position. You already show your understanding that there are multiple genders. Please also understand that there are more positions other than top/bottom/verse. Thank you!
