An error occurred while saving the comment Donald Garretson commentedSince we are not allowed to just state we are NOT ATTRACTED to certain types, we need a way to let others know. Screw the perceived racism or "phobia", just like a homosexual has NO ATTRACTION to a women, a guy who likes other guys is not attracted to all guys, just like mass majority of us are not attracted to little boys. So stop trying to force us to be attracted to people we are not attracted to, and make it a part of the guidelines that we do NOT need to be attracted to every individual that uses Grindr and they need to stop complaining about their feelings being hurt because someone is being honest. You create the hate you claim to be preventing by trying to require everyone to be attracted certain people because of how they think of themselves.

An error occurred while saving the comment Donald Garretson commentedAs noted, this is a VERY HUGE issue and needs to be the #1 Propriety of Grindr to address right now.
No ad should have sound enabled for any reason, leave it up to us to choose to listen to a specific ad if we want to.
At times, multiple ads sounds will play at the same time.
It makes it impossible to trust Grindr when you don't know if it will "out" you because of ads automatically playing sounds. You cannot open Grindr in a quiet area for fear of loud sounds from the ads, especially porn ads. The mute "button" rarely works in the first 2-3 seconds after the ad sound starts. It feels as if Grindr is trying to force us to buy ad-free subscription to fatten their pockets instead of making a safe environment for guys to meet other guys.
Disable all ads until mute is the standard setting for all ads and the ad can only be unmuted manually instead of only muted manually.Donald Garretson supported this idea · -

With the number of users you have, $25 a year for the first level would be plenty of income, and $50 a year for all options would be totally reasonable. Your current prices show that you have little interest in the users outside of earning enough to live extremely comfortable. If you are making more than the low side of middle income earner than you are just profiting off of your users and not providing a service for them to make the community safer.
