Not Interested” Tap
Hi Grindr Team,
I hope you’re doing well! I wanted to suggest a small but helpful feature that could improve user experience. It would be great to have a “Not Interested” tap, similar to the existing taps like “Looking” or “Friendly.”
Sometimes, responding to messages just to say no feels awkward, and blocking can feel too harsh. A simple tap to indicate disinterest would allow users to acknowledge messages without the pressure of responding or resorting to blocking.
I believe this would make interactions smoother and more respectful for everyone. Hope you’ll consider it!

Unlimited & Ads
I am paying a ridiculous amount for unlimited to still be seeing ads. Your advertisement of what all comes with the Xtra/unlimited plans clearly state no more ads. Yet, I’m still encountering ads on the daily. False advertising lawsuit is coming your way soon.

Remove the right now from hovering over my screen, it’s so annoying
Remove the right now widget from the main screen position, people including myself, accidentally press it then get bombarded by unwanted attention, it’s actually convincing me as well as some of my friends to leave Grindr if anything

Start organising the suggestions/feedback
Start deleting and merging feedback that are either saying the same thing or no longer relevant. There are hundreds of pages of suggestions as old as 6 years which are either repeats or irrelevant making it hard to navigate. Start organising them so the feedback is more streamlined and people are able to find the things they want to vote for easier

Filter favorites by last seen
When looking at your favorites you often want to see who has been online recently and not just who is online at the moment, so I would suggest adding a feature allowing us to filter by last online categories.
E.g. show only favorites who have been seen online in the last 30 minutes, 1 hour, 5 hours, 1 day, etc.

No longer gay
This app was created with the intention being used by gay MALES. When did this concept change? Why do we now have women of various types, OVERPOPULATING the app? I'm not saying you should ban them, but I still don't want to see or be contacted by women at any time while using an APP FOR GAY MEN.
That said, GRINDR no longer feels like a safe space for GAY MALES. If you no longer wish to SUPPORT the gay male community, please just say so.

Bring back ethnicity filter
Bring back ethnicity filter , it’s not racist. I understand why you did it , but coming from a black person it’s not racist. It just makes browsing more convinient. Other sites have it and it’s not a problem. No one cares if they are filtered out. You want who wants you. It’s also contradictory to remove it while asking people to input their ethnicity. Removing the feature felt performative.
Please bring it back.

Make albums automatically unshare after 30 days
I don’t realize how many people I don’t talk to that still have my album. And even if I forget it should still just automatically unshare it after 30 or 60 days. Either you have to reshare it, not that hard to do if you are actually talking and meeting up possibly regularly.

Filter for ethnicity type users are looking for
I feel that it would be best to add to the filter ethnicity types to help better search the kind of men each grindr member is looking for.
So far it’s good since we can search between tops, bottoms and versatile but adding the choice of ethnicity we are looking for would be a tremendous help and make this app so much better.16 votes -
Local group chat rooms!
Years ago, before mobile apps, Gaydar had local chat rooms for cruising, seeking immediate sex in LOCAL GROUP CHAT feature! Do this now because it becomes frustrating not knowing who is looking for right now.
Surely this idea is easy and used to make the old computer hookup website very successful?!
Grindr needs to do this for postcodes, main areas, and main towns globally!

Birthday - "Free Boost" for the day
Provide a free boost for a users birthday for those who want to want to provide that info (maybe just enter Day-Month - only allow update once per year to avoid misuse but still allow for a mistaken entry)
