Bring back the keyword search bar in messages
With the app update, the keyword search bar disappeared. It was an efficient tool and I would like to request that it be added back to the messages section of the app

Show who are paid members
I think there should be a way for paid members to know what other members are paid members as well. I would prefer to talk to only paid members so at least I know they have a job and maybe a car. Most that are going crime on here are non-paying members so therefore if you give this option I'm sure a lot more people would become paid members just so that they're not part of that group.

Gender selection
The app keeps deleting my selection of "woman" when I enter my gender. This is a transphobic disgrace.

Ability to retain chat history when someone blocks you. Users can misuse or abuse info in a chat that you no longer have access to. Very on

when you block someone, possibility to choose "block all profiles that may come from the same user". this would avoid having to block the same person each time he creates a new profile or with a new email

Undo the 'gender filter' changes made on 26 April 2023.
On 26 April 2023 you removed the 'Trans Tribe' filter and replaced it with the 'Gender filter.'
I'm an Xtra subscriber and you haven't 'replaced' anything. The 'Trans Tribe' filter is gone and there is no 'gender filter' showing anywhere in my app, so you haven't replaced one with the other, you've removed it and anything resembling it within Grindr Xtra.
I can only assume, therefore, that you've locked it behind the Grindr Unlimited tier and expect us to pay £25.99 per month or £311.88 annually to unlock that core feature - something I refuse to do because it's frankly…

Grindr is useless (expensive) junk after update, after update, after update.
The entire apps sucks and is obsolete at this point. You used to be able to browse the unattractive profiles 50 miles away from you. Now. You have to pay over 10 dollars just to be able to message people I DONT WANT TO TALK TO. F grindr and f every one of the mentally disabled employees that chose to work there and never make progress for a better app. Pure shite. Every button, every click, is an ad trap. Every profile is locked. Completely useless after a decade. Absolutely embarrassed for grindr.

Don't ban someone for having "not into trans" in their profiles.
I'm gay. I'm not trans. There's no judgment, but I will never, ever be attracted to trans. There's nothing wrong with that. You give me the ability to find trans, but you don't give me the ability to filter it out.
Putting in my profile that I'm not into trans saves everyone time. It's not discriminatory to give someone notification that I don't like men in dresses. Again, no judgment. Live and let live, but don't punish me for being gay and wanting to meet other gay men.

suicide after banned account
i would like you to watch my livestream when i kill myself because grindr banned my account for no reason.they took away my happiness.

Unblock account
After checking the list of blocked users, we only get an option to unblock by clicking on two options, cancel or Ok
But there is no option to view account as once the person is unblocked, its very hard to find that person's profile on the grid again as it automatically disappears and shows up at the city where he is currently in.

Ban appeal
Grindr bans a person who deny to sleep with an old man without doing any further investigation or see the history of the messages. They should better hire a quality team than just hire a person who bans the profile of a victim against whom the issue has been raised. If this app is meant for old people, do let us know and all the below 40 can withdraw from the application.

"My Country Only" switch
Where users , whether free or paying, who live along an international border can exclude from the "Browse" display guys from the other country. Eliminates inaccessible guys when the border can't be crossed by people who either don't have a passport, or are frustratingly barred from entry due to youthful indiscretions. For border town residents, often half or more of the guys displayed are inaccessible "look don't touch" frustrations.

Request Album Unlock
Not sure if it's been requested before, but could you perhaps create a feature where one user is able to request another user to unlock their private album? In my mind, it would be a button similar to the tap button on their profile or on the screen where it says "Album locked" on their profile, have a button that says "Request Unlock". Thanks!

HIV status options should include 'Undetectable' instead of 'Positive, undetectable'
A someone who's undetectable I don't generally say 'I'm positive, undetectable' in conversation, I say simply 'undetectable' which is widely and well understood. I feel that the options for disclosing status on Grindr should reflect how people actually talk about their status.

Say Something Bubble Is Too Large
It blocks information in the lower left side of the profile. Make it more narrow or remove it. We all know where to enter text for chatting. It's truly useless.

The removal of features that I’ve paid for
I think what you have done is deceitful and disgusting behaviour. To actually remove services that have been paid for in advance through subscription, only to add them to a higher level subscription cannot be legal. Where is the notice to the change to terms of subscription? Since the introduction of the unlimited level, there’s been a constant watering down and now removal of features for the XTRA subscribers with no compensation or even explanation. Enough is enough! Start making people varify who they are so it stops all these fake accounts and harrasment...make people Verify true identity
Make people verify who they are with actual real photos of themselves...this app was fun but now it is just full of fake profiles and bullshit people....it's starting to make alot of people leave the app because of this
