filters needed
Make a filter to only show men 50 miles away or less as this is Grindr and it started as a gay app I would like to only see Men not trans or females in my search also make a std filter to show negative negative on prep poz or poz undetectable in the search. Also make a host or travel filter and a has a vehicle or not filter would be great too as well as a multiple block by holding down on there pics would be great to make room for my type vs going one by one

I can’t see and read user’s profile
I can’t read and check the users profiles. When I click at the photo it goes straight to the chat and I can’t check the user’s infos And I’ve payed for the most expensive version

Fresh Grid Could Be So Much More!
I really LOVE the concept of being placed into the local "FRESH" grid when I update my profile image. This feature truly does makes Grindr feel more like an actual social media platform that is a refreshing unique mix between Instagram and other "Dating App"(s).
But PLEASE only place me on the "FRESH" grid if I update my MAIN PICTURE.
I would love to be able to add pictures to my profile without changing my grid status.

Albums Access
I cannot open albums when they are shared with me. I keep getting the same error message (see pic). I have tried updating as well as deleting and redownloading all together. Please help!!

Add a Local Events Tab!
Add a tab that caters to the community where users much like fet life can host events and publish them on there. Like here in California there are a ton of events! Especially in LA and SF. We also have the Power Exchange here in SF that caters to people and the Citadel that caters to the BDSM community. steam works in Berkeley every night has a theme night that caters to gay men and on genderF%#k night it caters to trans individuals. Fix the app to stop losing all conversations!
If my phone crashes or reboots, all conversations lost! That’s bad programming, what database do you use where you don’t close the file and leave it to be corrupted like that??
Need as a result to offer more than just auto daily backups at this point at least hourly, or close the file after writing a record (message received) or repair database file on restart or whatever to fix this!21 votes -

The latest update
Usually your updates enhance the user experience incrementally, the latest update took features away. The Grindr icon at the center bottom no longer returns you to the top of the feed and the search bar at top is gone along with the distance away from where you are in the feed.

Identifying scammers
Hey guys. Not sure if you guys have been told about this or not. This was an idea the members came up with and it’s been passed along from member to member. There’s been such a huge onslaught of scammers on the site as you undoubtedly know. It’s almost impossible to maneuver around it. So what people have been asked to do if they’re suspicious is to ask the guy to do a selfie and instruct them to for example hold one finger up. Get rid of all these bots and fake profiles.
. All I see is transgender profiles that are clearly FAKE and many other fake profiles. I delete them (or hide them since Grindr got rid of block.) and NEW & different yet similar SPAM profiles appear within the same range. This app is honestly becoming unusable and it’s no wonder why it’s dying since every feature exists to leech as much money as they can from its users. Including these fake profiles so that you’re forced to buy premium to use filters so only what you’re looking for shows up.

People use the block button way too fast... Maybe innovate a feature where messages to someone that has blocked you go into a special file.
Maybe you can develop a special feature where if you message someone that has blocked you it goes into a special folder that can still notify the person that's blocked you that you have sent a couple messages and they could be limited... But first they are screened for any negativity or cruel intent first as a suggestion... But it could be a way for misunderstandings to be cleared up and keep people from treating each other as disposable...
