1. Stop allowing trans & trans seekers to take over gay spaces

   Enough is enough already. Make a new app for them and migrate them over. This is not a place "for everybody", this is a gay space and it's annoying with all the limitations you bestowed upon us, it's vital for our grid not to be polluted. Same goes for other filters. You will never find your type on this app. Forget it. Unless you guys get your heads out of your rear ends and give us back better filters, make these trans people get their own app. If you have to limit the amount of guys we can see, then give us the opportunity to find what we're looking for better. Oh. And stop mixing far away guys into my grid! That's so annoying. I don't want to talk to some guy in Vancouver if I live in Calgary.

2. Make the app usable with a vpn. Why should i have to turn off my vpn to use the app?

   I dont use the internet without a vpn as that is unsafe, however the app is basically unusable if my vpn is on, the chats dont load, orher users dont update, blocks and taps dont go through, messages never send. Its truly irritating and shouldn't be the case.

    I’m convinced this app is strictly about draining the LGBT community of their money. I can’t find more than 5 attractive people where I live through all the pick collectors, scammers etc. and if I want to see more people I have to pay $40. It’s extremely disgusting. I had a similar problem a few months ago so they sent me a code for a month of unlimited only for the the code to not work twice to add insult to injury. I wish there was an alternative for our community to meet each other. If this problem doesn’t change soon I’m going to try to figure one out

    I’d love to suggest a new inbox filter called “Unanswered.”

    The idea is simple: a button similar to “Unread,” but instead it shows conversations where you haven’t replied yet.

    Many of us open messages, read them quickly, and then get distracted — maybe by work, another app, or even an ad. Once the message is opened, it no longer appears as “unread,” and it’s easy to forget to respond. This can lead to missed connections that we genuinely would have liked to continue.

    An “Unanswered” filter would solve this problem in a clean and intuitive way:
    • It helps users quickly see conversations where they still owe a reply.
    • Even if there are many unanswered chats, sorting by newest makes it easy to spot recent messages.
    • It improves response rates and keeps conversations active.
    • It enhances user experience without changing existing behavior.

    This feature wouldn’t clutter the interface — it simply adds clarity and control. It supports better communication, reduces missed opportunities, and ultimately strengthens engagement on the platform.

    I believe this would be a small but highly impactful improvement for both users and Grindr.

19. Bring back the old online-status! The new online-status marks users offline after just one minute

    The new update (Version 26.2.0, Beta) marks people offline immediately (estimated max. one minute after being online). The "online"-Filter doesn't show anyone being active anymore, not everyone has the time nor motivation to use the app all the time (maybe that's what this 'new function' is supposed to be leading us to).
    10 Minutes were perfect for making the grid seem alive.
    I'd be fine with 5 mins too but this is too much.
    I wouldn't like for people to know exactly from when to when I'm online.

    Why do you keep taking away functions that worked fine? You should focus on bringing new ones to the app or making the ones you have work better. A grid that doesn't need to be refreshed manually would be great, with proper sorting-animations etc.
