Being able to contact anyone without having a subscription
You’re charging way too much for a subscription for one. And two I should be able to contact anyone without said subscription. This is ridiculous, an absurd amount of money.

Get rid of xtra and unlimited being the only way to message anyon or get rid of it altogether
The price for these is way too much to ask and the fact that unless you have no filters on at all you gotta pay to message people you are interested in, when I turn on a single filter it locks all of them behind Xtra what the hell

Grinder is getting worse instead of better your going backwards Grinder to many bots you took away the block feature and won't bring back block feature when we keep asking for it back i can go on and on why you're getting worse but id be typing forever so ya fix this app too many glitches also bring back the grinder app we used to have

Need to add “Scam” to the report user menu. I’ve been reporting them as Spam because there is not a good category in the report User.

A photo id check for making a grinder account is asking for identity theft trouble
A photo id check for making a grinder account to stop bot profiles and fake accounts is asking for identity theft trouble i will not do that butting your photo id and driving license online or a app is asking for big trouble it scares me and I won't do it no no and no I don't care how you do it and how safe you say it is i won't do it if it involves my ID on line or a app not happening i don't even go on a lot of porn sights no more because they ask…

Locking chats already underway, forcing subscriptions. I’m DONE
It’s unbelievable that Grindr decided to start locking chats already started, forcing us to get a subscription to continue them. That, along with countless spambots that Grindr clearly doesn’t care are annoying, mixing in people from 189 miles away with people 1 mile away, and ads that pop up mid sentence in a chat, have made this an unusable piece of shit.
I’m done with this car accident. They don’t care about fostering community - it’s all about money and nothing else.
EVERYTHING they do now has killed the reason for the app - CHATTING

Send notification when profile picture approves
It can take anywhere between 40 minutes to 2 hours to get a picture approved, and I would not want to chat with other profiles without the pictures I want on my profile. Currently there is no way to tell when your picture got approved so either you constantly check the app, or you wait 3 or more hours. Which is a waste of time and mental emergy. Please add a push notification for approval of profile pictures.

Grindr Isn’t Listening
Reading through the complaints and there are many. Some seem like quick fixes - especially in the age of AI when apps can be created much more easily. Grindr pricing is outrageous. What are we still doing here wasting our time, money and resources. Let’s pick another app and cross over to them - there are many options available- all wanting more business. Let’s take our profiles and go!

Stop randomly placing people from 100+ miles away in my nearby feed.
It's EXTREMELY aggravating when you find some one to hook up with and you find out 20 minutes into the conversation and youre ready and wanting to meet up that they live in Canada 280 miles away from you.

Lower prices to get more gain users
Grinder currently has around 15 million active users but only around 1.1 million are paying. Currently the app has limited the functionality for the remaining 14 million users. But if you go to pay for the app, the prices are extremely high compared to other apps that you Pay for. I would recommend lowering your prices for all users at a six dollar weekly rate to draw the remaining for users into a month-to-month or week to week contract.

The old grinder layout would be nice to have back on grinder please The new grinder layout sucks I don't like it at all bring back the old grinder layout the new screen sucks nothing is good with the new layout since the new layout.There's too many glitches also so get rid of the new grinder layout and bring back the old grinder layout.

Tone down your ads
It’s BEYOND annoying when you go into a chat and it goes to any ad, or when you’re typing. Can you tone this down? Look at everyone complaining. Do better Grindr.

Ads now require you physically click?
So I’ve noticed that ads are now requiring that I physically click on whatever app it’s adverting. Specifically the apps that are in the app store. To get them to go away and even that won’t happen unless I flick the app store section either up or done to get it off the screen and then only have whatever is playing. I do not get the X button until i’ve done all of that and it means I have to go to the app every time. It’s not my favorite thing, but I suspect it could mess up the advertisers…

I get making profit off such a popular app but my god could it be reasonable the free version of this app is repulsive to use pay 40$ a month for Mediocre experiences that couldn’t been free when did human interaction need to cost.

Mutual Private Album Reveal
Add a Mutual Private Album Reveal option which would allow to unlock private photos only when both users consent to reveal private album(s) at the same time.
Prevents one-sided sharing and pressure after sharing.
Improves consent, fairness, trust, and user safety.

Prostitutes, fake accounts, and sugar dadddies
How about getting rid of advocating for the shareholders and actually opening up the grid range on the amount of real live people you can actually encounter. I've never been so bombarded with so many trolling accounts l trying to take me to their lame porn site or trying to take care of me with money I'm never gonv to receive. This app is super sloppy and super lazy

Right now for example there are more blank profiles than ones with picture ans profile.... I mean whats the point? Sre they spys ℹ️
Because most today are blank . CASPER PROFILES. REALLY ANNOYING WHEN EVERY OTHER PROCILE IS NONEXISTANT

Feature Proposal: “Member Since” Profile Field
Add an automatically generated profile information section that displays how long a user has been on Grindr (e.g., Member since 2020). This field would appear by default when a profile is created and would not be editable by users.
