Make it so that we can prevent people from sending us photos
I want it so I can't receive photos. I'm tired of non consensual photos of genitals.

When someone blocks another user, the conversation remains with both people and the shared files.
I've seen 5 cases of pedophilia involving men offering child pornographic content or commenting that they abused a minor and considered it a fetish. but obviously not accepting their invitation, they block it and the conversation disappears, and so do the files. the network should not allow this and leave the conversation still saved for those who are blocked from reporting.
I think it is extremely valid unless the owners of grinder and other users are in favor of pedophilia and leave pedophiles free on the app,4 votes -

More filters & not interested feature
There should be more filters...like ethnicity. I love my black cis men. I''m not into trans men or women, really not into other ethnic groups, I respect everyone but when it comes to dating a person I know what I want. Also, have a feature that certain people can click on your profile.so if I looking for a black cis man, 18-54, then any that is not in that filter requirement shouldn't be clicking on my profile or be told that they are not in my parameters.

Quick nickel & diming your customers
This is my first time using grinder & I got the 1 month plan (ultra plus something). My thoughts like at $39 that's steep. Then Grinr introduces this BOOST feature for an additional fee. Quick nickel & diming people that use you. After my monthly subscription, I highly doubt I will subscribe again. For $39, BOOST should be included.

Account creation date and time
Allow us to see creaton date and time of users accounts. That way we can easily spot fake accounts.

Please allow us to filter our preferences
I'm an MTF trans woman, and I found Grindr to be the only functional and safe environment to find potential partners.
There are several other apps intended only for trans people and those who admire us, but in none of them we can chat without paying a subscription. we are literally forced to pay to have the right to at least talk in them. This app should be free.
What you would pay for this app. You could go to a bar and get the same thing. The price is not worth it and what you charge is practically a rip-off to people that's actually looking to connect with community and make new friends. This is not supporting the gay community. This is robbing the gay community of their money.

Members who have used violence
After inviting a member over which used a fake pic when arrived then pulled out a can of pepper spray and used it and kicked my face and then asked for my keys after some standing up for myself I told him he could have the car key but not the house keys ok and finally I got him out of the door and then reported to the police also if this happens to you even tho it's hard on your emotional feelings but it's the only way to stop these thugs

Hide users from the grid who you aren't interested in
I currently use the "Favorite" star to mark users who I'm not interested in, for example:
- I asked them for a face picture already
- They didn't reply so it's clear I'm not their typeThis means I can scroll the grid and immediately see new potential matches, instead of clicking onto the same profiles every day.
Blocking is an extreme option to achieve this, getting rid of users (basically) permanently, which is not we want to achieve (as we may like to review these users periodically).

Please get rid of Credit Karma Ads
Please get rid of Credit Karma ads! They come up every five minutes and redirect you outside of the app to two different pages, it’s very irritating and frustrating! Other ads on the app are fine, but Credit Karma in particular is really ruining Grindr.

Messaging
I think that Grindr needs to do multiple things in the messaging features. The first would be able to select multiple messages and delete them at once. It’s very time consuming when you have to swipe and delete ever message. Secondly, Grindr should be able to implement a feature that you can filter individuals who haven’t messaged you back, so then you can bulk delete those individual messages. The last thing would to make the app free again. This app has just gotten worse with time and it’s not a great app anymore.

Lock
Make the photos and profile text locked.Noone shall take screenshot of profile photo,album photo and profile information.Many blackmailed me by taking screenshot of photos chat window and many things...screenshot shall be prohibited.

Voice notes
It would be nice if we can get access to previous voice message sent. The older voice chats fails to load and can't be heard. Please fix this issue as some voice conversation could be important to the users.

More security
I have come across more profiles that belong to people who harassed me outside of the app and they just keep making new profiles and new profiles and it’s getting redundant and getting to scary that they’re able to do so.
