1. Why do i have to enable Google location services

   This is literally the only app I've had out of hundreds that REQUIRES Google location service and wifi scanning to be turned on. Due to this i have to force close the app when I'm not using it otherwise it will conflict with other apps I have. Why is using "GPS" only not enough? I'll tell you this, it is enough because it's more accurate than anything Google does. So please clarify why you need something that I otherwise keep turned off?? Can you at least consider setting what ever the flag is that requires this the other direction because it's very draconian to require it when you can acquire GPS location without it.

2. The fact that grindr is fundamentally broken on iOS. Why does it lock up my iPhone 13 Pro after running for 5 min

   This has been an ongoing problem for years and the developers have no interest in fixing it. My $30 android tablet runs better than my iPhone 13 Pro. This app locks up my phone after using it for 5 min and this happens to everyone I know that uses an iOS device. Support acts like they have never heard of such an issue when contacting them which leads me to believe they have no interest in fixing it. They are just looking for new ways to jack up the prices on extra and unlimited.

4. I find it very frustrating to get the mssg " can't find location"

   Every time I log in I get the mssg " can't find your location" trouble shooting is no help.
   I had someone before who helped me and for a while all went well but I'm back to this location story. It's so irritating that I don't even want to log in anymore.

5. A fatal flaw in the way Grindr works

   There is a big flaw in the Grindr system or the way it works. It is true that the display of people pages is related to the geographical location, but the biggest problem for people who live in the borders with common countries will get the accounts of people from the neighboring country as well, and this is the defect of the Grindr system. I live in Germany With the border with the Czech Republic and the application only shows me accounts from the Czech state, I am in Germany and not in the Czech Republic. Please work to solve this problem experienced by people who live on the borders with other countries, the accounts provided by the search are supposed to be only from the same country

7. Fix "fresh" from 9 to 30

   Ver 18.6 only has 9 fresh then Xtra this is way too small. I am doing lots of blocking.

10. Nsfw Folder

    Sometimes users request nudes, I would like to be able to have a second folder that requires a prompt to access so I don't have to wait to use the app till I'm in private. Right now sharing photos even if it's just something regular means having any downloaded nudes out for people to see from over shoulder.

    It's the same for people's profiles, they should get nsfw rates and filtered out if they're being borderline.

    Setting never to received lewd pics should auto ban/suspend those who report and gets proven

    Recently I've noticed a few bugs in the app, like profiles showing as 'Offline' when they where recently online and wrong profile pictures loading onto profiles without pictures

12. Rate Users Authenticy (keeping it positive)

    I know i posted in this category before BUT i think this sort of system could work and would be harder to abuse and maybe even generate more of a community feel.

    If the app detects you and someone within 1m and you spend a few minutes together once you've been away from them for more than 20 minutes you get a pop up saying

    People may have a blank user rating which is a way fake accounts would be flagged to the public without any negativity

    Because the app has to detect you actually met it will make faking the ratings harder too. Give people the option not to rate at all or just leave the boxes blank

    You can only rate anyone once and you can change your rating every 3 months

    If the app detects you spend long periods with someone it can ask both users - are you friends, do you know them, do you work together, live together, dating, married?

    The Lions and questions are just arbitrary really. The number of user ratings should only be visible to yourself.

    And that’s it. No negative stuff. Anything really bad you can report to grindr themselves anyways

13. It crashes regularly and your organisation. Just pretends it’s not happening.

    How about some system whereby I could arrange a regular monthly payment to you in return for which you supply me with a working app that doesn’t crash losing all me conversations at least once a week!

    You could pair this with a customer service desk that actually tells you what’s a going on and a complaints team that actually listen. You will not be the only game in town for ever, at present the minute a credible competitor presents, you customer base will desert you in miliseconds because you’ve treated us all like mugs for last year.

15. Geographical constraints in search

    I live in an area of a border to another country. There is a long canal separating to major cities and countries, and very often I see people very close < 2km, but on the other side of the canal. That would require me traveling 10km south to the bridge, crossing an international border and driving up again 10km to meet the person. While gps shows that we are close in a radius, often borders, rivers and other geographical landscapes make way far than possible to meet, making it impossible due to lack of transportation. Being able to constraints a search in a country or city or even an area would be great for cases where we want to meet people within reach, and not to have to swim the nordic sea, a river, cross a border, or climb a mountain to get to a hook up.

16. Make it better?

    You just removed a feature that allowed you to block people from the “viewed me” page.
    You should be making it easier to block and avoid people. I’m not sure if you’re aware but there are a hell of a lot of creeps and horrible people on your app. You would be shocked by the abuse harassment and assult I’ve endured on your platform. You should be making it easier to avoid those situations not harder.
    Here’s an idea, when I set the age limit to who I see on the grid only shows me to those people aswell.
    ie, if I set my age limit to 24-31 then creepy old me don’t get shown my profile.
    The photos only feature should also be allowed for this purpose at being constantly bombarded with faceless, blank profiles feels extremely creepy and makes me uncomfortable, very much like knowing there are people watching you getting dressed but there’s nothing you’re allowed to do to stop them.
    I hope you realise the negative effects people on your platform have on others.

18. I would like to know the total number of views I’ve gotten per user instead of only showing recent.

    I would like a count of how many times someone has viewed me It would also be nice to be able to verify users so that profiles can be easily recognized as real

19. Ask to allow screenshots

    Grindr shouldn't let people screenshot the pictures you send them right of the bat. If the reciever tries to screenshot, the sender should be notified and asked if he wants to allow this person to do so throughout the conversation or if he wants not to allow him. There should also be a button to reverse this decision.
