The option to hide “For You” section. It’s useless
The section ‘For You’ is unnecessary, irrelevant, and generates a lot of spam. It feels completely random and adds no value. I already struggle with limited space on my grid, even when viewing just 160 meters ahead. Please consider adding a toggle that allows users to remove this section entirely

Profile verification
The app is now full of fake profiles. It would be ideal if it allowed some sort of profile verification (like other apps already do), voluntary and discretionary. But that makes it immediately visible from the grid with a badge if the photo is real or not. This is also to increase user safety.

Random profiles on the grid
Why are random profiles placed next to you on the grid. You think they are very close but upon opening them they are very far away. Quite annoying. Show more profiles locally!!! The ads that pop up everywhere more than pay for the free accounts. Plus I do pay occasionally when I travel but may stop now because your recent changes are not for the better

Toggle for Camera Mirroring
Love the new “Taken on Grindr” tagged photos for authenticity, only one problem… I am NOT taking “mirrored” photos EVER!!! And I know most of us hate seeing our mirrored/flipped alter ego lol. Please give us a toggle for the camera mirroring to be On or Off. Android users may escape this problem as most apps screen grab from the camera app instead of ~using~ the camera.

Chats Limited
The chats should not be limited to a certain number, especially when deleting a communication retrieved older ones.

Have grindr pictures save to my phone again, or have the option to do so!
Grindr used to save the photos I took in the app to my gallery and it no longer does that but I've taken some cute photos of myself and I'm sad I can't use them anywhere else without doing a bunch of photos hop:(

Keeping users
More and more people are leaving this app because they keep on limiting features and limiting access more and more every day for free users. People
Are switching to sniffies and other free apps cause Grindr has got very greedy and is over charging for xtra. Not to mention the mental vibe of Grindr users is flakey and they possess unrealistic standards. It’s sad what has happened to this app.5 votes -

Age Verification and Display
There is too many people living about age and this can be young kids or older etc and I feel for this app to be safer, age MUST be displayed on ALL profiles and also show if verified and have age verification forced. This would make the app safer, less underage, safer app

Verified profile
Grindr should introduce a verified profile system to enhance user safety and security. Many users frequently encounter fake profiles, catfishing attempts, and scams, which create an unsafe environment on the app. Without a proper verification process, anyone can create an account using false information, leading to deceptive interactions that put users at risk. Implementing a verification feature would significantly reduce these issues and build a more trustworthy community.

New favourite profiles don't show up under the new Favourites tab
I have starred two profiles after chatting, but the profiles don't show under the new Star tab. In messages I can see the profiles are starred but they don't show under favourites, which still shows profiles starred before the update and of course there's now the old favourites follow whatever filters are selected, which is for checking new users, not known ones. Please revert the favourites at the bottom, where it was, this is hateful.

Random Profiles in my Grid
Only show profile that are in your area… why are there random profiles in my grid that are 100+ miles away from me. Is it a product of the Boost feature? I have to say I am considering deleting the app that I have used for years. It’s crazy from the limits to how many profiles you can click on and see the full profile as a non paying member, which I use to be, but now I just can’t justify paying the cost(to high) compared to the overall experience of using the app. To many profiles wasting my time…

Lower subscription
Numerous ideas regarding your ridiculously expensive subscription has been ignored. Thats why people are going to other platforms like sniffies among others. Your adds and ridiculous rules limiting the app is VERY annoying! I will NOT EVER pay for this app unless it becomes more affordable in South Africa. VOETSEK money greedy poeste

Even if you can’t see people outside of your grid, you should be able to block them
It’s a safety issue… I get that you’re money grubbing but there has to be some concern for your users!

Make a custom block button
The current hide feature is impacting the functionality of the block feature. To improve user experience, please restore the original block feature, either independently or in a separate field. This would eliminate the need to navigate to the chat, then the profile, to block a user, streamlining the process with a dedicated block button."

why should I pay xtra to see who tapped me?
Used to be for free with all the history to scroll through and now I have to pay to see who tapped me? What’s next I’ll pay for even opening the app more than 5 times a day???
