2. Location filter

   A setting to be in between incognito and visible to everyone. To filter out anyone after a certain amount of miles. To remove the annoyance of people too far from me messaging. Also privacy reasons.

4. WHY WONT YOU ACTUALLY FIX THE BUGS

   We shouldnt have to use the feature request to ask you to fix bugs in your app. feature requests are for... well.... NEW FEATURES. And it dont matter how many votes, I mean if there is a a BUG...and its confirmed by 5 people its probably a bug if its confirmed by 10 people ...well...you already know its a bug. Ive been a software engineer for 17 years, and Ive never seen anything like this...And dont get me started on the web client. How do your supervisors let this stuff get pushed to production. And why is it so hard for you to listen to the users of the app? And let me laugh at the new pricing models. Are you serious? 40 bucks a month? 80 bucks a year was already way too high, for the simple fact that there were so many quirks and bugs like the "deselecting pictures while scrolling". why should we pay 80 a year to a software provider that wont even fix such a blatant bug? Its lazy, and it reflects on your app, and it lets your users know that you have no concern for their user experience. Youre just in it for the money. #GreedyGrindr.

5. Ads In Unlimited

   After paying an outrageous price to have an "Unlimited" account, the very LAST thing I should see is an ad. The funny thing is, the fees are only the icing on the cake. Grindr is just too greedy to just blatantly overcharge for the app so they decided to further show how little they care by selling its users exact location data, down to the neighborhood. Our private information is sold to Campaign Organizations and large Cooperations to give them the ability to create Geo-Targeted AD's and AD Campaigns. This gentleman says it best;

   “We are one of the first applications to actively sell mobile advertising in such a direct and strategic way. Utilizing the tools we have, including Google Maps API, has allowed us to grow at a much faster pace than we anticipated.”

10. Messages update delay & lagging

    After updating the apps, the chat messages refresh delay to pop out a new message. Clicking into an album that shared by others are currently more difficult and stuck in the conversation page.

14. Allow users to opt out of being messaged by "recently joined" profiles unless a user initiated contact first

    As Grindr allows users to have multiple profiles and unlimited or Xtra features transfer after a very short wait when switching profiles, the ability for abusive exes or stalkers to continue to pursue their victims by repeatedly creating new profiles to harass, bully, or threaten them renders the app unpleasant and at times unusable. Allowing individuals to opt out of being messaged by these profiles is ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY as a free feature in the app to protect users. Or, better yet, since Grindr is capable of device banning individuals, why not allow users to opt out of being messaged or viewed by ANY profile attached to a particular device.

15. Do something about the fakes and scammers!

    There are a ridiculous amount of fake/spam profiles on Grindr! One of the most prevalent ones that I’ve seen are supposed dominant trans women looking for subs. They use pictures pulled from the internet, usually of popular trans performers (I’ve confirmed this through Google image searches, and even reaching out to one on Reddit), and the insist on people who contact them introduce themselves with their name, age, location, job, and other potentially identifying information. I have been scammed before (not on Grindr) where they threatened to release my personal photos and identifying information unless I sent them money. And it’s not just profiles posing as trans women, I’ve been solicited by profiles posing as men, too. Grindr needs to do SOMETHING to protect its users from potential fraud! Implement a profile verification mechanism, block devices that have been reported repeatedly (I’ve personally reported and blocked numerous profiles multiple times. How are they allowed to keep making new profiles?!). Jesus tap-dancing Christ, with all the highly intrusive ads and ridiculously high subscription costs, ya’ll make enough money to make this app safer for everyone, and it’s just irresponsible of you not to at this point!

17. Different color screen options?

    Hello! I hope this message finds you on a good day when you are in a good mood! I really think GrindR should come out with different message screen and keyboard options/colors for those of us who don't want people to identify our screen, as GrindR (most people knowing it as strictly a gay hookup site and not a dating site or place to chat too) Like if we're just chatting and we're at work... or if we're around family or certain friends. Because currently yellow and black is obviously grindr. Where if it was a similar color to messenger or Facebook or Instagram or something then it would be easier to hide.... We don't need our families dis-owning us, or being fired, or even tarnishing a good friendship because of our personal choices and a simple color issue......
    I appreciate your time to read my idea and truly hope you take it into consideration for everybodies sake. You could even let us personalize the screens maybe? And we could pay extra!
