Exact distance shouldn't be shown for people less than a km away
Ive had issues with creeps who can see I'm 20 meters away and essentially msg bomb me or comment on my appearance when I'm out. It's creepy and I think it's really unsafe to have an exact distance shown for those that are closer than a km from you. Tinder has this feature too

When you log out.. you don’t “really” log out
When I log out, I should truly be logged out. But Grindr keeps my profile searchable. I’m an app developer with swift and Java (iOS and android) so I understand ad revenue. But it’s dangerous to show our profile when we “log out”…. Let’s say I log out because I have to work at 9 when I log back in at 8pm, I have hateful messages accusing me of ignoring them. Give all users the right to turn off their location
Whilst Grindr doesn’t give your exact location, people can triangulate where you are. I don’t think it’s fair to charge $20 a month for the safety of users. In the last month I’ve been approached by three men in public who have seen me on Grindr and worked out where I am thanks to the distance feature. It has made me feel extremely unsafe. I’m staying in a hotel and a guy discovered this and booked a floor above mine and then tried to coerce me into coming upstairs or giving him my room number. I don’t think it’s much…

Scrolling in gallery deselect pics
If you select a pic or pics in your gallery then scroll up or down, the pic(s) are deselected. This defeats the ability to send up to 5 pics at a time because you can only do so if all 5 are in the same window otherwise, scrolling will deselect the pics already selected. This is a fairly new behavior/glitch.

Deleting messages on block is illegal
When grinder deletes or hides messages because someone clicked block user is harboring evidence from illigal activity. If a user failed to disclose their hiv status before engaging In sex that is illegal. For that user to have the ability to just click block and have evidence erased from the victim's view sets up major grounds of lawsuits in various countries such as USA and Korea.

Update GPS position when updating the grid on Android (swipe down)
I always need to go to google maps to force the GPS location update, before updating the grid. It's a bit painful to do so, and a position refresh linked to the grid refresh would be nice.

Remove Taps
Taps are annoying & useless may I request that Grindr gets rid of taps for good? Because users on the Grindr app hate taps & it takes up space for better features on the app. I remember in 2020 I seen a guy said in his bio that if you gave him a tap he’ll block you. Now users can’t see taps unless they pay for the extra feature or get Grindr unlimited. It was never like that users were able to see taps for free. Setting for Grindr's ability to open browser apps like "Chrome" and "Safari"
It would be comforting to know I have an option in app to control what other apps Grindr can open automatically or even when I click on it accidentally. As of now there is no such option. If there was at the very least there should be a confirmation prompt once you click on the ad.

Stop removing free features
I really would like to keep using Grindr however this is becoming very difficult with removing free features such as favorites tab where you would be able to see last online time and limiting taps/views to only the last one. THERE ARE MILIONS OF ADDS but now basic features are being removed and are charged? The app is becoming impossible to use without XTRA which is already overpriced. The saddest thing is that this is the only app the lgbt community has in some countries.. So disappointed and dissatisfied

Do you guys actually look at this page?!? I see multiple, multiple ideas submitted to restore the Favorites tab and they each have tons of votes. This should be a clue. Put it back where it was w/its search function…please.
