the guy out of Los Angeles California sold grinder to company out of Beijing China bought out grinder in 2019 and that's about the time it started going down hill 2019 is about the time grinder started falling so a guy owns it in China now instead of the United States Grindr will never be the same again

Picture criteria
I have submitted pics wearing shorts or underwear but we’re rejected because my bulge, I was not having an erection and I see pics of other profiles where you could determine that there are erections in them.
Also you have rejected pics where I was holding a joint and it was rejected. People I see other pics where smoke is coming out of their mouths or noses …. How come those are right ?4 votes -

Position icons
I think it would be great to have “position icons”. Basically these would be icons like the emojis we use in nicknames for positions (up arrow for top, down for bottom, etc, with some ingenious extension for other positions like sides). These would display in the grid for example in the top right corner of the profile picture. This way we don’t need to open the profile to see somebody’s position.
What’s the motivation behind this idea?

Present a stern warning to underage users for profiles claiming age 18 (or < 21)
If there’s not going to be any real verification, Underage users need to be informed of the serious risks to their own safety, and the potential to destroy lives of the adults they contact. Advise them that their parent/guardian will be notified and held liable for their behavior. AND that repeat offenders can be charged as adults for endangering the lives of those they contact. sometimes minors may reach out because they have suicidal thoughts or their lives are in danger. Remind them to seek help from parents, counselors, teachers, relatives, neighbors, or call 911.

Are the profiles I keep blocking, but return, just the fake profiles grindr makes?
Just wondering if grindr's fake profiles are the ones that won't stay blocked. We all know that half of the profiles are not real people. When we block them, could they stay blocked? It is pretty obvious with how fake they are. Almost as if our profiles tell grindr exactly what fake profiles we want to see. Please, for the love of god, just keep them blocked. The app is almost unusable the way it is now.

if Grindr were a homogeneously gay community, this might not be an issue.
Many profile images, (and more each day) have brought me uncomfortably close to vomiting. none of these users are seeking gay men.
If the intent is to discourage people from touching themselves, it has been extremely effective.

Move my location when sending location.
My location is not accurate and is requiring me to enter my personal information in messages like telephone number or street address to arrange hookups. Would be better to allow me to move the location on the map to where my location really is.

Messages still readable after being blocked
Someone can send you some really hateful messages and the second you read them they block you so you can't actually report them for it. Make accounts and messages of people you've talked to still viewable so you can report them.

Say Something Bubble Is Too Large
It blocks information in the lower left side of the profile. Make it more narrow or remove it. We all know where to enter text for chatting. It's truly useless.
